Tried for the first time tonight. We really enjoyed the hotpot! Came with a 10, 5, and 3 year old. Kids really enjoyed it and the staff were so good with them. Even left with balloon swords.

Amazing hot pot and Korean BBQ!

After coming here over 15 times and being regulars to this place they suddenly started not allowing us to use the grill for kbbq for some reason and gave some excuses as to the grill system “getting upgraded” a couple months ago and it seems that never happened. What’s the point of offering kbbq and having it come out of the kitchen cooked. Great way to alienate your customer base, we won’t be returning

My grandson selected this place for his 14th birthday dinner because he enjoys cooking his food on the grill however once we got there we were told that is not an option during the week. I feel like the price is high, but included in that is the experience of the grill and hot pot - without that it's just not worth and it and my grandson was very disappointed. I searched the website and could not find where it says that anywhere. I could be mistaken though.

We go to different Hot Pot and Korean BBQ restaurants in MD/DE, NY,/NJ, and CA. This is our favorite!

SERVICE: The servers here are so friendly and they know team work. Tonight there was a back of house staffer helping servers in front of house when it got busy. They’re very attentive, constantly refilling bowls and bussing tables when they walk by. They’re very courteous in helping the first-timers with the menu and procedures. I recognized a couple of them from the former buffet next door.

FOOD: The food selection here compared to KPot and those near UD is outstanding! They immediately bring you a tray of Chinese pickled veggies, a creamy seafood salad, and something similar to fried Taiwanese popcorn chicken. Super clean buffet food section w/ delicacies like tendon, duck blood, etc. They have a delicious house sauce available up front for those unfamiliar w/ ingredients. You can’t beat the price for ayce snow crab legs, lobster tails, local blue crabs, oysters, and various mushrooms. The dessert selection has had a glow up, according to my teenager.

We try to visit every time we’re in Bel Air. When you go, order the pork bone broth and add whole shrimp (head on) and other whole shellfish to complement the broth flavor. You’re welcome. The tomato broth is very flavorful and full-bodied. Try them all! Ask for tongs for each person. If you’re new, maybe watch a quick YouTube or TikTok on hotpot and K bbq so you can make the best of your time there.

Great food and eating experience

My fiancé made reservations because it was my birthday, but I do not think you need reservations. When we walked in, the staff immediately attended to us asking if we wanted a table or booth we chose the booth. They were thorough in explaining how things worked and helped us get started with everything by setting the timer, she helped us cook our BBQ. We chose both BBQ and the Hot pot. Everything was good. I did not eat a lot because I couldn't but we tried lamb, shrimp, fish, steak, different types of beef including brisket, broccoli, garlic, pineapples, jalapeño peppers, onions and different sauces. We made a lettuce wrap as well and tried hot saki. I forgot to mention right before we started to cook the food, they asked if we wanted pictures and took our pics, at the end of the night, they brought out a birthday hat, a rose with a tiny teddybear, a small pouch for cosmetics or whatever you want to put inside, a cake with a candle, a sign with lights, music and sung happy birthday to me. They also took an instant picture of us and gave it to us. It was a special moment for a special day. I would definitely return, and it was worth the cost.

The service was excellent. Came several times to help me with ordering. The food was very flavorful and hot. No regrets. I had to say something to a couple guys, they were loud and cursing. It seemed the staff was afraid to say something but I wasn’t. Other than that it was a great experience.

Huo Guo Hotpot – A Hidden Gem in Harco

We've been coming to Huo Guo Hotpot at least once a month, and it never disappoints. As the first hotpot spot in Harco, it’s a cozy, reliable go-to for anyone craving a comforting and customizable meal.

What we love most: it's never crowded, which makes for a relaxed, unhurried dining experience. The service is consistently great—friendly, attentive staff who make sure everything runs smoothly.

Whether you're a hotpot pro or new to the experience, Huo Guo makes it easy to enjoy. Highly recommend for a casual dinner with friends or family

I had such a great experience here! The food is incredibly fresh, the service is warm and attentive, and there are so many options to choose from: broths, meats, veggies, noodles, sauces, you name it.

I’m honestly appalled by the negative reviews from people knocking off stars just because they had to cook their own food. That’s literally the point of hot pot. It’s a traditional, interactive experience that’s meant to be shared and enjoyed at your own pace. That’s part of what makes it so special.

If I had to nitpick, the only thing I wish they had were quail eggs, but with everything else they offer, it’s hardly a deal-breaker. I’ll definitely be back and bringing friends!
