My family enjoyed eating at Pappas in Bel Air. We are residents of Northern KY and we are here for a wedding. My husband is locally from Maryland and we have had Pappas delivered to us in KY by family members who live in Maryland. It was our first dine in experience and everything was great! The crab cakes are the best. My son had a chicken sandwich and it was a big portion. He tried the cream of crab soup for the first time and he loved it. He is a very picky eater. The dinner rolls were warm and fresh and the service was friendly and prompt. The crème brûlée dessert was delicious. We also purchased some crab cakes to bring home with us to KY.It was a great dining experience and we are glad we came.

I specifically asked if the full menu would be available on Easter when I made our reservation, since at least one of our party would choose something besides seafood. The very limited Easter menu was the only option. A beautiful plate of rolls set the tone - brown, drenched in butter, magazine gorgeous. Warm to the touch, but FROZEN inside. Crabcakes were not up to our previous experiences, and the asparagus were some of the largest, toughest I've ever seen - our son's could not be cut with a table knife. Salads were heavy on iceberg lettuce, with 1 each: onion ring, cucumber slice, cherry tomato half, and 6 croutons. Although our server was pleasant, a different, very loud man dressed in an Orioles jersey and shorts, leaned over a partition and started grabbing plates, clearing our table before two of our guests were finished, and made it clear that we should hurry up and leave. It was a very jarring experience, leaving us shocked and embarrassed. Elapsed time from our arrival/reservation time was 40 minutes! 6 people, full meals, drinks, etc. Very disappointing.Dietary restrictions: If you have any dietary restrictions do not go on a holiday. A special limited holiday menu with jacked up prices and no real options are your only choice.

Food is AMAZING! However, service at the bar is mediocre. Manager and bar tenders are not very attentive. My husband and I have frequented the bar several times over last few months and same level of service at the bar. Drinks and food are amazing!. It’s the bar service that is lacking every time.

Absolutely love this place. It has become our new regular dinner spot. Crab cakes are top 10 in Maryland, maybe even a close top 5 and I try crab cakes from everywhere. Up there with box hill and cocos. Everything we have tried is amazing and great prices. Highly recommended.

My wife swears that Pappas has the best crab cakes in Maryland. We’ve been at this location about 3 times and it has always been a pleasure. The service was top notch and the food was very tasty and so were the cocktails at very affordable prices.

Everything was amazing! The only thing about the experience was the Long Island Ice Tea my father-nlaw and I ordered that had too much sour mix. But I asked them to remake it and they did without question. We will definitely be going back again.
