Went in today for the first time in a while. Asked to substitute fries for something healthier. The waitress said I could substitute broccoli, asparagus, or coleslaw. I chose asparagus. The meal arrived with 4 stalks of asparagus. The food was ok, nothing special. The bill arrived. The 4 stalks of asparagus were an unmentioned up charge of $6.00. The check arrived. We provided a $35.00 gift card and twenty dollar bill. The total should was $45.05 with the hifalutin asparagus. We received no change. Inquired about it and they said the gift card was $25.00. That’s bs. Chalking it up to a keying error and not pocketing. But I do know it was $35.00. Unimpressed.
This was hands down, the best meal that we have out in Harford County in quite some time. Everything was amazing.

We went to Steelefish with a large party last night for a 60th birthday celebration and the food and service were both fantastic. Victoria was our waitress and she went above and beyond to give us a great experience.

This restaurant was good years ago and atmosphere/staff/food used to be great. Now it’s not worth the trip. Management must have changed drastically. The food is not worth the price what so ever. You can go to the grocery store spend less and make food at home that taste's better. The food is bland and seafood is not good. Everything tastes like pricey hospital/cafeteria food. There are many other local restaurants worth spending your money to enjoy your time out.

Good food, not loud, lots of regulars, fish focused and friendly. There is even a kids play center outside which is brilliant

Well where should I start? I had friends in from out of town (Texas) and they wanted to try a restaurant in Harford county. I pretty much took them to the worst restaurant in Harford county YOURS!!!! From the air condition unit leaking above our head almost onto our table (health code violation )but the service was horrendous. Not only was our waitress too preoccupied talking to friends at the bar and not actually waiting on our table. We had to serve our own food, The boy brought out a tray of food that we had to take off the tray and put on the table. And after asking for our check two times my friend got up and literally walked over to the bar to our waitress and said can we have our check please!! Worst experience at a restaurant I ever had. What a shame cuz the food wasn't that bad.. And some advice tell your staff to get off their cell phone especially by the front door. Love the greeting from the phone!! Come again HaHaHa 🤣 NO!!!!

The scallops tasted spoiled, I took one bite and had to spit it out. The menu and restaurant needs to be revamped.

The food here is utter garbage. I made a reservation for 3 on friday night. Ordered wings as an appetizer they were ok but tasted a bit slimy as if they were oven baked and not fried. The seafood platter I ordered was abysmal. The fried fish and shrimp were unseasoned and tasted like they were fried in old oil. The tartar sauce and coleslaw served with the platter tasted sour as if they had just turned in the fridge. The fries that came with it were barely edible as they tasted like the fried fish so I believe they were all fried in the same old oil. The server, who was kind, asked if I wanted to box up my meal given that the entire thing was barely touched i politely told him no as I wasn't about to bring that nonsense home for it to rot in my fridge. I would never come here again and I caution others who like to go out and have a decent meal; do not waste your hard earned money here. If you are craving good seafood this is not the as even the old bay, salt and pepper available at our tables wasn't able to save my meal nor those of my companions.

This was my first time and my only time. The food and drinks were awful. The waiter was very rude. 3 of us came out to dinner for birthday. We ordered drinks, martini was watered down, no flavor. Spicy melon margarita had no trace of jalapeño and faint watermelon taste. Blended crab soup tasted like vegetable soup with bits of crab meat. We ordered seafood platter and jumbo scallops for entrees. Seafood wasn’t seasoned at all, coleslaw tasted slightly sour, fries weren’t hot. Scallops weren’t served with listed “whipped sweet potatoes”, looked more like a sauce or thin puree tasting of pumpkin. Scallop plate looked like a child threw it together, very skimpy, menu said crab would be topped but there was barely anything on plate. Food was waaayyy too overpriced for horrible quality. I won’t be back and I’ve told people to avoid.

My daughter, and I decided to try something new. We liked the selection of fresh fish. The grouper, and salmon was delicious. The food could have been hotter. The mozzarella appetizer was just warm, although tasty. The service was good, but it took a bit to get the bill.

A group of us attended Steelefish Grille Thursday evening for a graduation celebration meal. We sat in the undercover outside portion of the restaurant, where there was room to put tables together to accommodate our group.
There was quite a variety of food ordered, for our large party. Everybody raved about the food! So yummy! 😋
Also, our server, Emily, was excellent! So upbeat, patient, kind, thoughtful, attentive. She’s the kind of person you want on your team. She’s a keeper!!!
I wish we had thought to take pictures of the various foods we ordered. I do remember some things: We had PEI mussels, fried green tomatoes, cream of crab soup, salads, Jumbo Sea Scallop entrée, Cajun Chicken and Shrimp entrée. The others were so far down the table, I don’t know what they had, but everybody was really satisfied, pleased, and found everything delicious!
Oh! We also had several desserts. They were all delicious because, you know, we shared, of course! 😋
+ Another review, July 2025:
Took my 18-yr-old grandson for lunch as a special treat; we both love Steelefish Grille.
We got mussels—delicious, and a good size!; onion rings—tasty, hot and freshly cooked; scallop dinner, and Cajun chicken and shrimp.
We also ordered takeout: two orders of wings and 2 cups of cream of crab soup.
Our waitress was a gal named Bethany, and I must say that she is one of those you really want to keep on your team! Very personable, with just the right amount of attentiveness, helpful. Even anticipated our needs of a beverage refreshing and took care of it without us having to ask.
All in all, another great experience at Steelefish Grille ! 👍🏻🥰

Service was good but the food was terrible. Also, the patio door was wide open and there were a lot flies.
