Overall, I caution my friends that the food is mediocre in moderate quantities and rather over-priced for the value you get from plain food

Hickory Lodge. Spare ribs nice, artificial smoke in BBQ sauce. Everything salty. Brisket sandwich bland & tasteless. Service friendly but slow. The rustic decor is amusing. The cooking is primitive.

I went there for one drink that cost 8 dollars took forever to get amd there were 10 people in the bar. I left a 2 dollari tip for lousy service and the bartendar took it upon himself to get a 20 tip. This is THEFT in my opinion. Watch your wallet when going there

Excellent food, service, and ambiance. We had a large family reunion and Gracie was very easy to work with setting it up. Well done!

When I was in town for a wedding, the bride and grooms families hosted a rehearsal dinner here. It was incredible service, and the food was delicious. If I'm ever back in the area, I would definitely come by again. Highly recommend!!

Food was absolutely amazing! Definitely try the Crabby Flatbread and Alpine Fries! The dip for the fries was to die for! We got the Avalanche Burger and the Crisfield Quesadilla for entrees. Both were so flavorful! The interior of the lodge is intimate while the outside has a lovely area to sit and eat + a bar for the weekend crowd.

One of our favorite places to go. My wife and I have been there several times and it never disappoints. We are always promptly seated and the wait staff are pleasant and friendly. It's a large place with a rustic style. The menu is extensive and the food is very reasonably priced. We plan to go there next week to celebrate my birthday. Crab Cakes are excellent.

I've been here twice now within weeks of each other. Good experiences both times. First time with coworkers for late lunch - second time with parents for dinner.Food/drink: Haven't had anything here I didn't like. I will say that the corn & crab chowder was a touch heavy for me but that's literally just the item haha. I strongly recommend the mixed berry salad. Man does this place do its salads really well!! That goat cheese and pecan combination with the fruit really worked well. And the alpine fries are a must if you want a c l a s s i c.I also loved my summer(berry?) mojito. My family also ordered the mozzarella kabobs (good but I do think the sauce could add a touch more acidity somehow?), rockfish wrap (great) and the chicken Stirfry (I personally don't go for this as much but it's a solid standard.)Service: Good both times. We were seated quickly. The staff was very polite even when they were clearly busy and interrupted. The food came out pretty quickly. Ambiance: You can sit outside, at a table, or on one of those swings. I thought the swings were great. It's a very cute idea that evokes the slopes and aligns to the lodge aesthetics. And of course you can get a regular table if you don't like it too. There are quieter and louder areas of the restaurant. And outdoors the hanging flowers and lights were really lovely at night too. I could definitely see coming here for a date. I'll be back. It's very close to work. :-)

Absolutely had a great time! I was so mad that I've been living local for a couple years and missed it. Food: Great, my "go-tos" are rockfish bites, steamed mussels, and double barrelled nachos for appetizers. Grilled salmon with rice and asparagus, bacon wrapped meatloaf, and seafood linguine for entrees. Corn and crab chowder and the French onion soup are a must. Banana Foster bread pudding with a huge scoop of vanilla ice is just wow.Drinks: the Winchester is a close favorite but they have other fancy drinks too!Staff: very nice, friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. I have had them surprise order my entire meal without any disappointment ever.Children: I don't have any but the ones I see there seem to enjoy and I know they have a kids menu too.Atmosphere: Love it! Reminds me of a ski lodge out west! Lots of posters and ski-related stuff hanging around. I also liked the wooden sculptures, and paintings. They actually have old ski lift chairs to sit in part of the restaurant. They also have an eating area by the fireplace, and an out door area as well.Parking: plenty of it.Overall: a great place to go whether for a date, with family, or friends. The food is delicious and there's plenty of variety if you want meat, fish, salad, burgers, sandwiches, soup, desert, drinks, they have it all. The staff is really friendly and we've never felt forgotten or a bother. Whenever I have friends or family in town, I take them here.

A few weeks ago, my boyfriend and I decided to come here for our one year anniversary. We sat outside at the patio, we ordered apps beer and dinner. Halfway through our dinner we went out for a smoke telling our waitress on the way out. We came back 5 mins later and our table was completely cleared. The waitress was noticeably annoyed and apologized. She offered us two more beers and a dessert. We didn't feel like we could just go back and enjoy the rest of our night out. We asked for the check. A manager came by and gave us a $15 gift card. At the time we didn't feel like arguing or asking for more. I did not think this was a substantial compensation. I wish they had offered to remake our meals and give us another couple beers. I now have a $15 gc that will barely buy us anything significant. Definitely disappointed to say the least.

This was such a cute restaurant. It's very spacious and decorative. Lots of stuffed animals, it really does look like a lodge. My friend recommended the Black & Bleu Burger so I ordered it. It came with red peppers and I was worried that the flavors would clash but it had the opposite effect. The roasted red peppers really enhanced the Bleu cheese and made it pop. I really enjoyed my burger, this was probably the best black & Bleu burger I've had in a long time. Service was ok. Our waiter was attentive and kind. The only issue I had was that as we were eating our entree he said he would bring the check. It definitely changed the atmosphere because we started feeling rushed. There were plenty of empty tables, so not sure what that was about. I would recommend bringing the check when the customer asks for it or is finished eating, but bringing it over after receiving the order is a bit excessive. Lots of free parking here.

Will NEVER go back to this establishment. My husband and I were there last night and the very large (overweight) gentleman behind the bar was the most unprofessional and rude person we have ever came in contact with. At one point was even agressive towards myself and my husband. Lost our business last night and everyone we tell. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Expect a few looks if you are melenated but we will be back for sure . Nice atmosphere. The service and servers were beautiful. Crab fries were banging and a meal in itself. Potato salad.Everything we tried was good. Definitely kid and adult friendly. Has a bar if you're into sports. Should have taken pics but I will next time.

First visit last night with a well connected friend in Harford County. We sat at the bar, ordered adult beverages and ordered rockfish bites and the Lodge's BBQ Lumberjack Burger. Interestingly, my friends bites came out first but I had to wait several minutes until my burger was delivered. The burger and fries were good and I enjoyed a rockfish bite that was very good. After settling the tab, we moved to another building on-site where there was a huge crowd and live music. The Lodge is a fun place with a cozy interior. Locals definitely rule the roost here. I'll be back.

Food has been good for years. Moved to Nc in 2019, came back to visit in 2022, the vibe has changed a ton sadly this isn't the go to spot for weekend entertainment but food is still pretty good.
