We always loved the restaurant but I believe they have closed. Both phone numbers have been disconnected. I hope it will reopen.

This is one the best restaurants in the area. Every single time my wife and I have been there, the service (especially Karen!) was amazing, the food was always cooked to perfection, and the atmosphere, cozy and inviting. On a side note, one of our great friends knew how much we loved Old South Maintain Inn and found this most excellent picture at an antique store and gave it to us a gift!Old South Mountain Inn will be missed.

We had to go one last time before the close for good. Great staff and great food. Crab cakes or the rock fish was my go to.

Have been multiple times for anniversaries and holidays. The main dining room with its huge window overlooking South Mountain when the snow is falling is magical. Although the smaller front room with more intimate tables and roaring fireplace going sets a fantastic mood as well. The food was equally spectacular when dining with my wife or with the kids in tow. Will definitely be coming back again in the near future.

We went for my birthday. The food was exceptional. The cream of crab was out of this world. Prime Rib was exquisite. Can't say enough good things. Service was outstanding. We will definitely be returning. A hidden gem ?

Went for Thanksgiving dinner and everything was absolutely perfect. From the moment we walked in, everyone including the owners were friendly and went out of their way to make sure we felt welcome, even though it was very busy and they were working hard to keep up. The turkey dinners, especially the sweet potatoes, were delicious. The seasonal fresh cranberry martini was also tasty. It was our first time there and we hope to be back soon. Thank you to the staff and owners for making our holiday dinner so very nice.

We haven't been in a while, but we just had the best meal and service. You can get in without a reservation. The food was as amazing as I remember it. The duck fat fries were worth the trip haha. I had the filet and it was cooked perfectly. I high recommend.

We had a group of 6 in town to tour the Antietam battlefield. Decided to go to the Old South Mountain Inn for dinner. It did not disappoint! I had the duck which was perfectly prepared. The crab soup and the lobster bisque was excellent. Topped off with a nice bottle of wine and it was memorable dinner. After dinner we had a quick tour of the Inn and got to meet the chef. It is a very neat venue on top of Turners Gap!

We love coming to the Old South Mountain Inn. However, the upkeep on the place has gone downhill quite a bit in recent years. We recently dined there and were shocked by the very musty smell as soon as you enter the restaurant. We were seated in the sun room and the musty smell was even more prevalent. This truly impacted our evening in a very negative way. The restroom floors and baseboards were noticeably dirty. As always, the food and service was excellent. I hope the owners put some time, money, and effort into the upkeep of this wonderful restaurant steeped in great tradition. "Old" should not imply neglect and lack of attention to the beautiful dining environment.
