Pre-ordered food for a truck delivery in our town for 6pm. They showed up 2 AND A HALF HOURS LATE and had to wait in line for additional HOUR. Ordered 2 meals, both supposed to continue with a half pound of shrimp, one had 3 SHRIMP. All they offered was a 30%off coupon. You could not pay me to order from here again. Standing outside at 10pm for a dinner you were supposed to recieved 4 hours prior is ridiculous. If you can't manage to orders in a timely fashion you need to figure out how to do that because there is no excuse for that latest.

Overall, not worth the wait nor worth the money spent. Delivery was late pick up was supposed to be at 6:30pm was sent a message to come to designated location at 8pm due to unforeseen circumstances. Arrived at location before 8pm and was still late. For $35 i feel like I could’ve gone to my local seafood spot and gotten more food honestly. Decent but not something you can’t get at any seafood spot you have near you. Probably won’t order again but everyone should try it & rate it for themselves.

Pickup Experience:
We arrived at the parking lot for our scheduled pickup between 2:00–2:30 PM. Despite being told the driver was “on the way,” they did not arrive until 2:30 PM. We were instructed to look for a white van, but the lot had several white vans, and there were no identifying signs, logos, or marketing to indicate which one belonged to Crab Boss. Additionally, the driver was not wearing any company branding, making it difficult to locate them.
The Food:
* Big Boss Crab Cake Platter: Unfortunately, this dish was a disappointment. The crab cake was riddled with shells in every bite, making it impossible to enjoy. While I understand that some shells are expected, the sheer amount was unacceptable. As a Maryland native, I also noticed the crab meat was not lump crab; it seemed to be mixed with a shredded crab or minced filler substitute, which greatly affected the quality. This was by far the most expensive item we ordered, and it was inedible.
* Seafood Mac: The shrimp in the dish was well-cooked, but the overall execution fell flat. The dish was not cheesy as expected and felt more like seasoned noodles than seafood mac and cheese.
* Cajun Garlic Shrimp Platter: This dish was the standout. While the shrimp were peel-and-eat, the Cajun garlic flavor was well-seasoned and enjoyable.
Final Thoughts:
Despite being seafood lovers, this experience left much to be desired. The crab cake, which should have been the highlight, was poorly executed, and the lack of proper pickup logistics added to the frustration. Given the high price point and unsatisfactory quality, we are unlikely to patronize Crab Boss again.

Very dissatisfied…..last time they were coming to Hampton I ordered $115 worth of food just for them to leave the pick up spot without calling me to get my order….then 20mins after when I finally got there number and contacted them they lied and said someone else had picked up my order but the only other person was with me🙄
…they have no real system to secure your order after you pay so if you are doing the pre order like myself don’t expect your stuff to be secure…. I was concerned about how someone would pick up my order without any confirmation an email confirmation or text confirmation no nothing they basically said they just gave my order away to someone else and they would refund me even though I had an event I planned to serve at…they will not give a call nor text when they arrive in your city even though they ask for your phone number when booking and states to ensure you can get texts from the company but they never sent anything….highly disappointed …

Delivered cold. Shrimp still had shell and poop in it. 1 little piece of corn 1 sausage. For $80 I definitely expected more. As much as I love seafood I will not order from this place again. I actually would like my money back or at least refunded for one of my meals. Waited all day to eat and yall failed me. From one black business to another this is not okay

This is my second time ordering with crab boss and I have to say it's a big NO for me. The bussdown blues were very small and the potatoes you get with the boil is ridiculous that was the first time. Ok so I figured I try them again and that is where we come to the picture. I spent almost $40 for 1 snowcrab which is not big nor meaty 7 shrimp 1 corn, 1 egg, 1? cut in half which is to big for a boil they have smaller potatoes now maybe yall should use them. And omg the peice of sausage you guys should really be ashamed of. Yall call that a boil. The instructions says to preheat the oven and stick the entire pan into the oven well I had a platter. I gave it five stars for service because they were at the location mention on time.
Door says closed, open sign is off, door was cracked open, I walked in and asked if they were open (1pm on Sunday) The guy said yes. I stood there while 4 people walked around and never took my order. I stood there for 5 mins until I stopped one of the people and asked if they were busy, which they have one take out order on the screen. He said yeah and laughed while he watched me walk out.

Very unprofessional business. I placed a pick up order back in September due to the pick up time kept changing I called and canceled the order was told that I would get a refund shortly, never received a refund. I have sent emails with no response calling and getting no answer. I Did manage to get a guy on the phone last week saying he was the manager and he was going to talk to the owners about my refund , Still no refund and no follow ups. Everybody’s quick to say support black owned businesses but this is what they do.

Watched the page for a while. Finally decided to try the crabs. I ordered 1 dozen got home and realized I only had a half dozen. Driver was late like 2 hours. The crabs were not meaty at all. My refund did arrive timely for what I didn't receive. Hopefully others have a better experience

I stopped by yesterday when I had a travel delay. I ordered the catfish po boy to-go. Service was unexpectedly slow for 5pm, not busy, I was the only customer there.
Server was medium friendly but that's all
The po boy was pretty good, fries could be a little more crispy. Prices on sandwich were ok, everything else seemed way higher than I expected.
I've never had Maryland crab before so not sure what to expect for price

We ordered from Crab boss online because he was doing pick ups in Frederick Md. We were a little disappointed for first timers. We got the Lil Boss which included 1 Lobster tail, 1/2 pound jumbo shrimp, 1/2 pound of snow crab, Cajun corn, Cajun potato, Cajun sausage, cajun egg. The lobster tail was TINY. There was 2 small potatoes, a sausage the size of an adult thumb, and 1 boiled egg. The sauce was decent. We also got the Big Boss Jumbo Lump crab cake platter. That included Two fresh jumbo lump crab cakes broiled to perfection topped with crab boss sauce and crab dust seasoning. Served with corn, potatoes and 3 jumbo shrimp. The crab cakes were small and very “shelly” and we could not locate the lump crab meat because of the filler, but that was not mentioned. The shrimp was a good size on both entrees and the crab boss sauce was good. but we were disappointed and feel like the same $100 would’ve been spent better at Crafty Crabs with leftovers of the same seafood. its not worth the hype sadly.they were on time with pulling up and logistics so I gave 5 star for service.
