The best hamburger I've ever had. I've eaten burgers at top new york steak houses but I prefer sunshine. 1/2 pound hand formed burger cooked on a grill.

Staff is like family, food is cooked by warm souls who knows how to cook, and it gives you that classic general store vibe. If you live close enough to slide there for breakfast or lunch, I highly recommend. Plus you can get gas too. What's there to complain about? absolutely nothing!! Always good people in there with good conversations.

I’ve loved Sunshine burgers since I was a kid, my dad used to bribe us to help him at work and reward us with these burgers. We’d be here at 6 AM when they opened ordering bacon cheeseburgers LOL. After coming back more than a decade later, the burgers still hit the same. I will say I prefer getting them when they aren’t as busy, because when I recently went I wish it was cooked just a little less. Their pickles and bacon make the burger so crunchy and good. They don’t have fries but you can get a bag and chips to enjoy with it. They also have hot dogs and breakfast foods. I am a pescetarian now, but if any of my friends tell me they’re going…. I may reconsider. Looking forward to my next sunshine burger.
I'd driven past this place for years on my way out to Larriland, then read a review and decided to check out what I had been missing. Nobody is wasting any extra effort on ambiance and decor-- it's a basic old-time country-feel grocery store-- but the ladies at the back counter offer truly great burgers, (Be specific about what you want and don't want on yours!) with a side of friendly fellow customers. There's not a lot of indoor eating space, so be prepared for take-out. I'll go back.

Best burger i’ve ever had. My family and I eat burgers everywhere we go and we have not had a burger that tops this. Yes the place is a little run down, but we like the local neighborhood feel. And appreciate grass fed locally sourced beef, never frozen. Great shop.

Hands down the best burger you will ever eat. Be prepared to wait 15 minutes for it and don't scrutinize the inside. If you need night crawlers, gas or Twinkie's, you're covered too. It's a quaint old store that's family owned and operated.
