Bushwood Dockside Grill

I had a wonderful experience dining at the Bushwood Dockside Grill this evening. Despite my initial doubts stemming from some mixed online reviews, I was pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. The waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, the specials, and how the dishes were prepared. After some discussion, we decided to order the cream of crab soup, the trout dinner, and the fried oyster dinner.

The cream of crab soup was outstanding. It could easily compete with the best cream of crab soups at five-star restaurants. It was rich, flavorful, and generously portioned with plenty of crab.

The fried oysters were perfectly prepared. They were lightly breaded and cooked just right, ensuring the oysters' flavor wasn't overshadowed by the cooking process. The chef also made sure they weren't greasy, which made them even better. The oysters are definitely a dish I would order again.

I didn't try the trout myself, but I was told it was cooked to perfection and is a must-try item.

For sides, we chose kale and Brussels sprouts. Both were seasoned beautifully, enhancing the natural flavors of the vegetables rather than masking them. I will definitely order these again.

Thanks to the friendly waitress, the caring owner, and the fantastic food, I will ensure that my next visit to Bushwood Dockside Grill comes sooner rather than later.

I was very happy with our experience. The food is amazing and probably the first restaurant in a while that has given me actual crab meat in the crab dip. I got the crab cakes that tasted great with absolutely no filler and my wife got the steak. The steak was very good but nothing extravagant.
The atmosphere does need some work along with some better seating arrangements. The floor is angled which makes seating uncomfortable and the bathroom needs renovations including a new door. I would highly recommend leveling that floor out with a step down into your bar area. This is obviously a start up and deserves time to resolve these issues. Their food and location definitely made up for any minor inconveniences and I can see the effort being put in by management to create a good experience. We will absolutely be coming back to support this business and recommending our friends.

Had a wonderful experience at Dockside from start to finish. Staff were super friendly and helpful and the food was phenomenal. I highly recommend their cream of crab soup, the crab cake sandwich, and their shrimp pasta. Will definitely be returning!

Simply amazing!! The food was great and the customer service was outstanding. Beautiful views of the water. Very relaxed atmosphere. The food was cooked to perfection with very healthy portions. I would recommend a date night or a family evening out to dinner any day of the week.

Friendly service and delicious food!

My husband, his sister and family friend dined at Dockside Grill for lunch today. We tried different things and our favorites were the huge fried shrimp, lump crabcakes, onion rings, flavored mashed potatoes, green beans and fries.😋 For appetizers we had flavored wings and fried oysters.😋 Service was excellent. Wait staff very personable and the owner stopped in to check in on us too.

Great little place right on the water! Enjoyed the crab egg rolls, onion rings and chicken wings. Delicious and presented beautifully on nice slate plates. Full Bar available! Soft shell crabs were amazing! Definitely worth the trip down to Bushwood wharf!

Excellent food and service. Crab cakes and remoulade were on point. Fried oysters phenomenal. This is a super chill, laid back atmosphere, kid friendly. Beautiful spot in the world. I am impressed with how well the front of house and back of house meshed and delivered after only having been open a few weeks. ?? thanks for a great meal and attention to detail.

BDG offers a family friendly and laid back experience with delicious food and great service...all for a reasonable price! The best part of my experience is relaxing and watching the sunset with my crab egg rolls, shrimp & grits, and glass of wine.
