After 20 years this place is still delicious. I love sitting by the grill getting a show but also enjoy placing my sushi order and watching the masters create. Service is always great, food is fantastic.

Food was good. We have two Sushi / Teppanyaki choices locallyBoth have their benefits.Asahi has Better Teppanyaki Okada has better Sushi. We can never finish our Teppanyaki meals at Asahi and it's always VERY good, but for Sushi we go to Okada. Bigger pueces, better rolls

I love Asahi and the antics that come along with hibachi experience. The cooks are very animated and do very well in large groups as it person's to the customer experience. Highly recommend this place.Note: "A 20% automatic gratuity is added to the total of your bill" is something customers sometimes miss. Nothing wrong with giving an additional cash tip, but it seems to surprise patrons even though it's clearly written on the menu and after they've given a cash tip.

This was hands down one of the strangest Hibachi experiences I've had. Luckily the food was good, but if you are going here for the show, think again. The chef came out and seemed to recognize the other group at the table as well as my boyfriend, whose home town we were in. This Chef had been at the restaurant nearly 15 years. Instead of the classic hibachi show, the chef talked AT US about all things in his life. I've never learned so much about my hibachi chef's family. There was not one single food performance, no "butter" fly, onion volcano, nor flying shrimp. I will say the Chef and other staff were very friendly, just the "show" was very different. We started off with clear soup and ginger salad and both were very good. I got steak and shrimp Hibachi and it was served with tasty veggies and fried rice. As far as ambience goes, the restaurant was pretty quiet, but it was a Tuesday lunchtime service. I would give this place another try one day.

We just moved to the area and this was the second hibachi place we tried. I definitely liked this one more. The food was a lot more flavorful. It had a couple downsides for the night though. It could be that it was just because it was busy, but only time will tell. My husband and another guest at the table ordered sushi. We had already consumed 90% of our hibachi meal and were ready for boxes before their sushi came out. Drink refills took forever. Seems they had our waitress running between the grill and several other non-grill tables. She just couldn’t keep up. We’ll be back!

One of my favorite places. I'm only giving this place 5 stars on service because of the Phillipino waitress. She knows the menu and is very attentive. She checks on all of her customers regularly. If you receive service from anyone else, it will be below average or horrible in comparison. You will either wait a long time for refills, or have no opportunity to order desserts due to the long time in-between check-ups. My company goes there every Monday. We always get the Phillipino waitress because we request her. She has the perfect waitress personality, and you can tell she loves her job. The rest approach you like soul-less zombies, they don't pay attention, bring you the wrong items, don't know the menue, I could go on for hours with everything they do wrong. The good news is they finally got ride on the one waitress who just spends your entire lunch time on tiktok. Now of they would just get the other 3 up to speed. With the Phillipino, my meals are around $40 to $50 because she understands English very well and gives me the opportunity to order extra stuff, desserts and etc. If we are ever stuck with bad waitresses, I just order the basic. $12 item... knowing after the first round of drinks and soup/salad that I probably won't see them again until it's time to go. Maybe management will see this and do something about it. I'm a customer, I shouldn't have to explain what a chirashi bowl is every time.

We had a very friendly chef that juggled his kitchen tools, food, and flames to make for an entertaining evening. I had the steak grill and a sushi ? appetizer which were both excellent. Not crowded on a Monday night and reasonably priced.

Been here 1000 times, always good food and service. Never had any mix-ups with my food. The only reason I took off a star because the last time I asked the waitress for a straw after mine fell out of our fire drink. When the waitress bought the straw back she laid it on the table. That's disgusting and something a waitress should be mindful of.
