Food is good & is always fresh. They do run out of chicken a lot, so dont leave it to the last minute. Sometimes it takes them 10min or longer to get the orders done, it all depends on the day, time & how busy they've been. But the rest of the time its great.

I just received the best customer service I have ever received in my life. I was with my young daughter and we were assisted by DARRYL. Darryl was so polite and knowledgeable. He multi tasked while remaining professional and gave each customer his undivided attention. Darryl smiled and was very patient as I wasn't familiar with the menu and options. From the time we walked in, until the time we walked out everything was 100%. I hope that Darryl is appreciated and acknowledged for his work ethic. Food Safety Concern – Popeyes Chicken, California, MD

To Whom It May Concern,

I am submitting this complaint to formally report unsanitary food-handling practices I observed today, August 10, 2025, at the Popeyes Chicken located in California, Maryland.

After receiving the wrong items in a drive-through order, I returned to the restaurant to have it corrected. When I handed back an unopened cole slaw that had been transported to my home, opened, and unrefrigerated for over 25 minutes, the manager placed it back into the restaurant’s refrigerator instead of discarding it.

Additionally, while preparing a replacement food item, I witnessed the same manager open a sealed food package by placing it in her mouth. This direct contact with her mouth before serving the product to a customer is a clear food safety violation and raises serious concerns about hygiene and contamination risk.

These actions, in my view, represent a breach of standard safe food-handling procedures and warrant investigation.

All the food was cold except for a sandwich fries were ice cold and the tenders weren't very warm either

When I get a hankering for Fried Chicken, this is my go to place. Fast, clean, good seating, and delicious food. When I am not dining on bone in chicken I go for their chicken sandwich topped with coldslaw.

There hours say 10am to 11:00 pm the past 2 nights they have not been open not even at 10pm

I had 2 Popeyes chicken sandwiches last night and woke up at 4am puking my guts off. I'm never eating from there again.

The service was great. However, the chicken was supper crispy. I ordered chicken strips. I understand chicken should have a crunch, but when it hurts the gums, it's cooked a little too hard for me.

Today, Memorial Day on our way home from our holiday trip, we decided to stop by for some lunch! Must say this was probably one of the best Popeyes experiences we've ever had. We were greeted so nicely at the drive through and the young lady was so patient and helpful as we placed our large order. Then when we approached the window she greeted us with a nice smile and went over our order one more time to ensure she got it right....and she had. Next a gentleman came to the window, so cheerful and chatted with us...what a nice guy! 👌 the order came out...it was correct....it was hot....and it was delicious! Thank you!! Will definitely stop back by on our next trip down.

The customer service at this Popeyes is always excellent! I gave it a lower star rating only because the cooking area and the cooks sometimes appear untidy, which is a bit off-putting and makes me slightly hesitant to order. The food, however, is surprisingly good.

When I walked in all the employees were sitting at the table and got snotty because I walked in and they had to get up. All the tables were filthy while all the employees were sitting at a booth blasting music with bad language. Employees were loud, obnoxious and cussing very loud. My order was incorrect and got attitude that I wanted it fixed. Terrible employees. Need a manager that cares.

We will never come here again! DoorDash made a mistake with our order and we paid $30 for a chicken sandwiches and it was swiched with someone else just popcorn shrimp !! DoorDash never answered our calls and when we went to this storefront and told them about it, the female staff who was working May 8th on the night she couldn’t understand our complain at all
Her attitude was very very rude !!!!!
I told her you guys have to check with door dash when you serve customers order
She said 〝well..Any way I can make if pop corn shrimp ” after we already told her we can’t eat shrimp
OMG We just lost ＄30 and wasted our time
We will never buy from this place again, but please train your staff more better !!
