First time coming thru. The 12 pack Red Queso Birria is definitely worth the money. They are not stingy with the sauce it comes with. The taco de lengua are perfect too. Chef was also friendly and the place offered a nice sit in to dine.

Got 2 tacos, it was delicious. Wish I had gotten more. Price is a bit high, but the food and convenience of computer kiosk makes it worth it. I was waiting for maybe 5 minutes before my food was ready. I would definitely go again.
Parking: It's a small location. But there is enough dining space for 15-20 people.

My second visit with many to come. Once again, everything was delicious!! Haven't been disappointed yet. And the churros are a must!! Still the most authentic Mexican food I've eaten in the DMV.

It's the only place i go for tacos and street corn. People are always friendly, but the music can be a little bit on the loud side sometimes

There tacos are great had but BEWARE. On the kiosk, they charge a "To Go" fee of 9% even if you are eating in which is ridiculous. Also, there is no restaurant hospitality here. The place in Marlton is comparable.

It is expensive and will not bring in years of customers.
Restaurantji Recommends
I recently visited this restaurant on my way home from work. I’m originally from Texas and have been missing my favorite Mexican restaurant back home and someone recommended this place. I ordered the Patricia’s Sample and the street elote and I did not enjoy either. They were flavorless and bland and the corn was hard with hardly any mayo or cotija on it. The consommé was bland and cold when I received it. The restaurant was cute though, the decor was nice. That’s about all that I enjoyed, unfortunately. ??♀️ Hopefully others have a better time because I did not enjoy this.

I got the fish and shrimp tacos, fries, and that FIRE guacamole. Enjoyed every bite of my meal and will be back for more.

The brisket was very tender but the carne asada was a little tough. The elote was delicious.

El Papi is located in a strip mall, so parking is not an issue. You order your food on a screen, to then being asked to tip the employees for making your food, since there is no waiting staff. Another example of tipping culture getting out of hand. Food is pretty price, with some charges that are not clear at all. You can get similar food (birrias) for equal or better quality in other restaurants. I saw them on Signature Dish and was expecting something much better, but it was a disappointment.
*** The owner's responses to other reviews are extremely disrespectful.
