I wish I could give them no stars! I’ve been a loyal customer for decades. Imagine my surprise when I got my piece of croaker that had not been descaled. As soon as I open the box, I called the restaurant and the young lady told me that’s how the fish comes now. I have NEVER been served fish with scales on it. I asked her to let new management know they needed to research how to cook fish and politely let her know they had lost a customer. If that’s how it comes now when I’m spending $20, I don’t need to go back.
I can’t understand for the love of me, why would you not advertise that you will be just closing at random times? We pulled up and they aren’t suppose to close until 8:30pm, we pulled up at 7pm and they are closed, just saying they are closing early. This is constantly a thing with him, They just close whenever they want. I don’t believe that it is good customer service.
Why is this place randomly closed! No explanation or nothing just a head shake saying no… it’s always service like this in the black community! We have to do better smh

I loved when this franchise was in DC, but it has taken a nosedive since. They don't have sides or mains and you won't find out until after you've paid. They burnt my food both times. It's unfortunate, but I won't be going back.

Ordered 20 pieces of whiting fish to take over brother's for game/birthday. To my surprise and embarrassment I had maybe 8 whole pieces of fish and the rest broken pieces. (Allentown Rd. Location)

The services and food were awful. I ordered bonefish and had to wait for the fish to be thawed out 15 minutes prior to being cooked and received . I drove home and realized that they gave me the wrong order.
When I pulled up to the restaurant, I thought the restaurant was closed. However, the employees were on the side of the building getting high.
The establishment has gone down hill since it has been brought with new management.
Last month, I had a bonefish dinner and the potatoes were undone and being served to customers.

My First, Only & Last time ever eating at Horace & Dickies; the Absolute Worst Food I Have EVER TASTED in my LIFE. Crab cakes disgusting, slaw, rancid, potato salad Nasty. We purchased $75.00 worth of food last night and it was so horrible that my Dog would not eat it!! The cook needs to find another job away from food. Only an idiot can't cook a crab cake & cole slaw. the owners should close their doors, the food was disgraceful & just plain tasteless & nasty.
Not as good as 12th St
Fantastic fresh fish. Warm and friendly staff. We ordered two dinners and received two very generous portions. Highly recommend.

This place use to be great ! Went there today after not going there in a while and it was terrible.Fish was greasy and soggy, cole slaw had a weird taste as well.20 dollars and both went into the trash.I'll not go there again.
The fish was good, although it could use a little salt. I'm not sure what is in the crab balls, but it tastes a bit vinergary (not good). The potatoe salad was pretty good, but the green beans were awful. However, the service is fantastic. The staff members treat customers like family. ??

First and last time to Allentown rd location.
Poor customer service and hidden upcharge for cat fish, even with a sign displaying prices. Very happy with the waldorf location which was down played by cashier at Allentown rd.

I had the fried catfish dinner and my nephew had the fried whiting fish dinner. The fish was very good for both. There was an issue with the collard greens, but I believe it was an issue of trying to save some possibly scorched greens that they rinsed which left no flavor. They should have re-seasoned the greens before serving them. The green beans were very flavorful. I took the leftover green bean juice and used it for the greens, added some hot sauce and saved and ate my greens. I highly recommend this place inspite of the miss with the greens. I would go back again! The employees were very pleasant. The atmosphere was kind of dull, but it was near closing, so we ordered to go.
