Krystal the bartender here is an absolute gem! She’s super attentive, creative, and really takes pride in her craft. Every drink she makes is well balanced — the perfect mix of spicy and sweet. Watch your check/forced gratuity. I advise anyone to check the math. I was there a week ago and later noticed when I was chucking reciepts that the check said 20% but the literal amount calculated to 30%. Shady business practice. 48$ with 20% should be 9.60 not 14.40 (30%). I've only ever heard of this on those suggested tip numbers doing this thing.

The family was headed to the State Fair, but my wife said she wanted to try El Guapo, so we walked across the road. It was not a bad-looking place, but it was kind of dead for early evening. We did not wait long to order drinks and appetizers; unfortunately, half of our cocktails came out incorrectly. 🧐 The margarita was decent; it did not have triple sec, so the taste was different if that's what you are used to. The apps came out in a timely manner, and the complimentary chips and salsa were good.
As for our food order, it was S-L-O-W, and we were trying to figure out why, with maybe 10 people, some of whom already had food. At least I went down to the arcade, so that passed some of the time unexpectedly. We had multiple enchilada orders that were not hot. I had the combo fajita (steak, chicken, shrimp); the veggies were charred great! The steak was unevenly cut, meaning it was too thick for the traditional way it is served for fajita. The corn tortillas were not heated, a surefire way to experience a flimsy tortilla. Biting through the thick, well-done steak was tough. Plus, the cold corn tortillas had zero chance of holding up. And a fajita served without guac—I was dazed and confused.
The staff was nice, and the manager took care of the chilly enchiladas.
Highly recommend: Guacamole – It had the right spice level for a Latin American dish. Chicken Taquitos Chicken Tortilla Soup – If you eat it all, you will burst at the seams! 🤣

Meh: Nachos - We all agreed the blanco cheese did not do it for us. To boot, there was a shortage of the ground beef and beans we paid for. Black beans & rice

Had a great time bringing in my hubby's birthday with the free pour of tequila. The chicken burrito was a hit but the wings should've been cooked about 3-5 minutes longer. Our waitress, Nichole E was wonderful. The basement arcade was cool, but we'll come back to enjoy it. We also noticed that the daytime bartender was better at making cocktails than the evening bartender. Hopefully that they can perfect that.

This place is AMAZING. Food, drinks and the staff. If you’re looking for a great experience, check them out. And to top it off, it’s the best happy hour in the area! You won’t be disappointed!
The place was nicely decorated, the atmosphere was good. However, the service was really slow. It took a long time for the waitress to come to our table and take our order. They did not have silverware or plates. When we were finally able to place our order, the waitress was not familiar with the menu and said she was new (why wasn't someone training her?). My stake was overcooked, and very small portion for the price. We won't be returning.

Solid food and drinks, great atmosphere. Good for a casual date night, family gathering, or just to grab a drink. Must check out the basement bar and arcade - fun for kids and adults alike. Servers seemed a little overwhelmed during trivia night; food arrived quickly, but our server struggled (and did her best) to stay on top of drink refills and new drink orders. Overall, very positive experience.

Chips and salsa are pretty good. The mahi tacos were good, but needed a little more avocado. Black beans and rice are on point. There was a very large group at the upstairs bar talking way too loudly about inappropriate things with families that had small children nearby and they kept trying to take over dining room tables, which makes it hard on wait staff and customers. Someone said something to the manager about the loudness, but nothing was done. If you have a large group with almost every one drinking, please be respectful of others and go to their downstairs bar area
