This is my go-to Chinese place. I drive out of Baltimore to get it whenever I want Chinese food. Food is always delicious, ready fast, and they are always super nice. Parking lot is a little tricky if you try to go out the side entrance and you time the light wrong, but that is literally the only 'negative' - and that might just be me because I stress about weird things 😂

We had high hopes that this would be a cut above the usual standard American Chinese restaurant particularly since the name was Hunan. Alas it is simply the usual type of suburban restaurant unlike those in Chinatowns. Not a restaurant. Takeout only. Hot and sour soup was sour not salty enough but ok. Vegetable seafood entree was mainly veggies. The steamed dumplings were stuffed into a plastic container such that the dumplings were one solid mass all stuck together. Hunan entrees were underspiced and disappointed. Personnel were charming. Portions fine.
Quick, hot, yummy dinner. Be sure to use the 2025 menu prices. About $15 per large dinner meal.

It's not a place you go sit down to eat in. The food is the best Chinese in Baltimore.

Restaurantji Recommends
Would highly recommend avoiding as they will nickel and dime you incessantly; in addition to exorbitant prices of $20+ per meal when placing an order for delivery, it is an extra $3.00 per meal for fried rice over white rice and an extra $4.00 to remove broccoli from a chicken dish. It was literally $79 to have two chicken and rice meals and a large soup delivered, only to get a single fortune cookie. I did not experience hunan joy, and you probably won't either! Will not return.

If you ain't getting your Chinese food from Hunan. Then you might as well eat something else for the evening. Best in the area without a doubt! 🥡ðŸ¥
Bad place. I try to order some food. To eat there real fast. They have two tables there so you can eat. And they told no with an attitude.
Their food is SO GOOD! The flavor is amazing and the staff are really friendly. Heads up, this is really a takeout place. Not much seating inside so don’t plan on eating there. My family orders here about weekly and we continue to be impressed. They also pack a ton of food in the takeout containers, which we really appreciate.
Be careful pulling into the parking lot and go slow. There’s a decent size dip that might make a small car hit their bumper. If you drive up slow, then it should be fine.
