Best time to go is after lunch hr bc the line maybe longer during that times
Great pit beef & super pit beef 🥪 platters (w/onions 🌰, au jus, bbq sauce & tiger 🐅 sauce & tomato 🍅)... Also good with pit beef is horseradish, 🧀 cheese, au jus, 🍅 & of course the onions 🌰 lol. Also good 🥔 fries 🍟 here = 😋! More pix in the photos section. Always fast and professional service also. 😋 😋 !
Great example of Baltimore pit beef. Small menu, pit ham and turkey available as well. Only open lunch hours, 1100-1700. I've driven by here a few times, easily seen from the intersection and today it was on my route between jobs.
Decent line when I showed up and an even longer line while I waited. I stood in line 20-25 minutes but once I ordered I revived my food in quickly. People ahead of me were ordering multiple sandwiches.
Loved the pit beef, would try any pit meat here. Cash only. Good rolls, decent condiment section. The regular size sandwhich is a filling portion of protein, the super looks like a good one to pick loose pieces off of.
Small no frills shack. There's a reason the line is long.
I haven’t tried other pit beef spots, but this one was solid—very good food, quick service, and no frills. I stopped by while driving to Washington, D.C., and chose it because it was the second-highest rated on Yelp and conveniently along my route. For the original sandwich, my recommendation would be extra tomatoes, extra onions and adding Au Jus.
Ps- the beef goes from the grill to the slicer to ur bun in seconds, so it is as fresh as u can get it, and there are the options for Raw-Medium-Well-done.
The pit beef us VERY tasty! The fries with gravy are good too.

Fantastic food, very friendly service, and perfect atmosphere for a small pit beef joint. Joint. Just a little shack in the back of a parking lot. Food is absolutely fantastic.

My favorite pit beef joint. The guys are great, the food is amazing, and the price is right.
Parking: You might have to wait when they're busy (ahem, Friday lunchtime), but otherwise it's easy to park.
Kid-friendliness: The kids have loved this place since they were little. The guys are so friendly and remember their order, even when it is months between visits.

Oh. What to say. Well we rolled in and as we were walking up, saw a sign that said cash only so we headed for the liquor store in the same parking lot. He knew immediately that I was looking for an ATM and I asked how? He pointed at the camera and smiled. He dialed us in on the run history of PPB, we grabbed some cash and product from him and headed back around to the shack.
You walk in and if you’re tall, you need to duck, there you are at a couple of windows with simple signs and they’re ready to slap together your sandwich. I had the standard pit beef sandwich with tiger sauce (as recommended by liquor store guy), and a pickle. Turns out tiger sauce is a horseradish sauce. They DK NOT skimp on the meat, wow and the sauce is fabulous. I had a pickle connoisseur with me and she agreed with me that it was one of the best pickles she’s ever had. So there you have it a fantastic off the chart sandwich with a fabulous pickle and a little something something from the liquor store. So glad I had this on my to go to list!

Straight up good food. Quick service, cash only. Worth the 2.5 drive. Very unassuming building, but the food was perfect. The pit beef is the best I’ve ever had. Brought a cooler so I could the turkey too! Love the prices and easy to choose from menu.
