Solid hidden Gem. Best pit beef in the area! Better than chaps.

Sure they don’t have the fancy building or decor, or the Guy Ferrie stamp of approval… but this is the real local “Dive.” As public enemy once said “don’t believe the hype.” This spot is way better the Champs.

I have been going to this pit beef place or years. Pit turkey on a sub roll with tiger sauce onions and BBQ sauce is awesome and a order of fries. Very reasonable price. Taste is very very good. Pit beef is good too. My lady loves this place glad she doesn't live close by. She probably would eat there 2 or 3 times a week.

When in Maryland..pit beef is always a must...tried Pioneer and here are my thoughts:

* Beef was tasty , had a decent char but wasn't as tender as I would of liked.

* Fries were excellent, both with gravy and without .

So far this trip we tried Bayside Bull and Pioneer...Chaps is our usual go-to but decided to try both..I would say ranking wise its Chaps then Pioneer, then Bayside Bull.

While this wasn’t exactly our thing, I have to give major props to this place for providing awesome service and a great experience to a non-local. I ordered a classic pit beef and a classic turkey, both topped “the local way,” as they described it. The sandwiches were fresh and offered a unique experience overall.

The only downside is that the bun gets soggy; toasting it might help it hold up better. Either way, this spot is definitely somewhere anyone should try if they’re in the area.

Unbeatable prices; fast and tasty food. Really cool experience to get to watch them cook the beef right in front of you. Absolutely no frills, just lightly smoked beef and a few sauces to choose from.

Our pit beef place Fast Eddie's closed so we were in the search for a new place, it is 45 minutes away, but I would definitely make the drive, it was great. We got the super pit beef sandwhich and fries. So good!!
