I’ve been coming to Tastee Zone for a few years now and really enjoy their Kavern Kaos. I was there last night and did not realize their hours had changed and they closed at 8. I walked up at 7:58 and the OPEN sign was still on. The older lady greeted me and asked what I wanted. I started to order and then she was grumbling and shaking her head, and when I asked what was wrong, she said “1 minute before I close and you want a Kavern Kaos!?!??,” in an extremely rude tone. I was shocked! I apologized profusely and explained I truly thought they closed at 9. I was starting to walk away, and she called me back over like “no, no, it’s fine, what do you want?” I should have just walked away. Clearly she still wanted to make the sale. I’ve worked in restaurants previously and would never have tried to order if I had realized they were closing in a minute. I even tipped her! When she brought the ice cream, she acted like nothing had happened and was overly cheerful, like she was trying to make up for it so she didn’t get a bad review. I don’t know if this older lady is the owner or what, but her blatantly rude attitude is unacceptable to run a business, especially a local small business in which it’s clear she depends on the town of Catonsville and its residents to make her income. I have had pleasant experiences in the past, but will not be going to Tastee Zone. I’ll just have to wait until Opie’s opens back up, I guess.
Amazing soft serve. Ms Kelly and staff are also amazing.
Tried to get some soft serve today. The older woman was so rude I walked away. I was talking to my friend about having difficulty seeing the screen, I didn’t have my glasses. This woman had a rude comment for everything I said to my friend about not being able to see.
The soft-spoken young lady was helpful for our first time here in letting us know what popular items were.
Stopped up on the 4th of July had. An excellent orange vanilla cone. If you haven't tried one, you don't know what you're missing.
Today is the first day I visited Tastee Zone. My daughter and I thought the woman at the counter was very strange. We repeatedly asked to see the size and price of the cones and she simply made height gestures with her hands. She never mentioned the cost. The cones were STALE and the ice cream tasted bitter. Perhaps the health department needs to test their machines for bacteria. It was truly an awful experience. Stores like this live off their past glory. The quality previously mentioned in older reviews no longer exists. These people need to stop selling old food for such exorbitant prices. Everyone is struggling in this economy. Merchants like this should be inspected more frequently. Don't fall for the fake google reviews. This place is horrible. Don't stop, keep driving pass it.
Love it here. Snowballs are great and so are the ice cream nachos
Its a shame. Used to love going to Tastee Zone. But, sorry no more. Just tired of being talked to like I'm a P.O.S! For the most part the younger employees are GREAT, friendly, kind and welcoming. But the older lady that works there needs to RETIRE. She is the reason I will no longer bring my family to Tastee Zone.
Good flavors, they let you pay with cash or credit, so that's a plus, quick service
Was there Saturday...great employees as usual . Banana Split was incredible!!!

The older lady there gave us such attitude, but we still went ahead and bought ice cream from there. Everything tasted old. The young lady was polite.
I went there a couple days ago at night and the lady cashier was rude. I ordered the ice cream cookie sandwich and the cookie was hard not soft. My wife got the ice cream nachos and the sprinkles were old and soft and the wafers also were old. Honestly Wouldn’t recommend going here.

It was an early November evening. My friend was craving a root beer float. We visit the fine establishment for what must have been my 1000th time. After much contemplation I decided on a small Oreo milkshake with the request of “extra thick”. The kind yet expressive employee reassured my desires but saying “I can do extra thick”. I was served the 2nd best milkshake I’ve had in my life and I will think about this drink often. Til the day I die. Thank you. Bless you.
