short and sweet, only had the brisket, but I'll be back to try more of the menu. BEST BRISKET I'VE EVER HAD!! And I'm old, I've had a lot!, easy to get to off 695

The first time I ate brisket it was excellent but this second time I went I was disappointed the brisket was dry as stored and less quantity than the last time I was very disappointed they must maintain the quality always much more for what one pays

Amazing! I got the brisket, Kansas City sauce, slaw, and baked beans shortly before closing and it was delicious. The brisket is so tender. I was honestly skeptical of the vinegar based slaw, but it goes perfectly with the whole meal. Best BBQ around, I will definitely be back!

SO GOOD! Drove an hour for it and 100% worth it. The cole slaw and baked beans are incredible and the meat had virtually no fat. Definitely a top BBQ spot in MD

One of the best Briskets from a food truck I have ever had. I eat BBQ probably once a week and venture to different spots around Maryland, and Wieland’s is the one spot I continue to come back to. They also have different specials as well. If you like BBQ, Wieland’s is that spot

I found this place on groupon and have referred several family members who have already paid a visit. The meats were tender and flavorful and the pepper rub on the ribs was just right. The mac and cheese left a lot to be desired but my sister liked it so it didnt go to waste. The brisket and beans are outstanding though. I also enjoyed all of the sauce options they offered. Very decent bbq joint. My father was a pit master so I’m not easy to impress but it was very good for what it was. There was a little confusion with the pricing because the website is outdated but its nothing to be bitter about. I would come back.

I used to love it when Tyler and the other nice kid worked there. Im in a wheelchair they would always come over to my van and take my order. I pulled up yesterday rolled down my window. Waved and also waved for the guy to come over. He kept the glass shut and shook his head no and waved me over. Then kept his head down . I waited 5 minutes to see if he looked up again. He never did. To b fair he couldn't tell I was in a wheelchair. But if a customer is near your bbqe truck u would think he would open the glass and say how are u. Never looked up. So I drove off. I miss Tyler and I cant believe I dont know the other guys name. Always very friendly always a pleasure to talk too.

Our first visit was this past Saturday. The young men working were very helpful and polite. You could tell they had pride in the product. We explained that we came because I was looking for a new bbq place to try. They offered us a sample and we immediately ordered 1lb of brisket. As we were waiting, fresh turkey came off the smoker and we were offered a sample of that too. We loved the pepper forward rub and bought a 1/2lb of that too. This was by far some of the best bbq I've had in Maryland and I've been to quite a few places, including the places most talked about. It was an hour before closing and the quality was still top tier. The sweet sauce was so good I could drink it and I'm picky about bbq sauce. We will definitely be back!

I recently hosted a party at my house to celebrate the end of our card season. Some members of our card league wanted to go to a fancy restaurant, but most were happy with the idea of a house party. I ordered pulled pork, brisket, and smoked turkey from Weiland’s and the food was great. The attendees raved about each selection, and the total cost came to less than $15.00 a person. We could not have gone to a restaurant for that amount. Highly recommend!

Ordered the Great One Sandwich. The food has some good spicy kick. Next would like to pre-order the ribs.

I’m from northwest Alabama and have been in Maryland for 4 long years with unsatisfactory barbecue. Northwest Alabama in particular is known for tender meat, highly seasoned burnt ends, smoked pulled pork, and spicy vinegar sauces. I’ve spent countless dollars wasted trying to find anything that even remotely reminds me of home.
Tonight I ordered two large pulled pork sandwiches and a rack of ribs. In fact, having regular and large options for the sandwiches was already a good sign and a staple of back home. Unfortunately, the ribs were sold out but if anything that was promising because anything hard to keep ahold of MUST be great. I’ll be ordering ahead next Thursday to pick up on Friday to try those next.
As for the pulled pork, I was finally satisfied with the quality, more than satisfied really. And I love that they sold it by the pound as well. The portion was extraordinarily plentiful and they were generous with the burnt ends that clearly had a well honed and flavorful rub. The interior was tender and moist, while still dry enough to absorb either of the two provided sauces and tasted of smoke all the way through.
One sauce was sweet with a kick that quickly dissipates, and the other was a spiced tangy vinegar that lingered and cut through the fatty meat. Normally I have a local spiced vinegar called “3 in one stuff” drop shipped from family back home because it’s just that good. Wieland’s sauce was a fantastic substitute unlike any I’ve found anywhere else since leaving the Deep South.

From 4 soul-less years, to an immediate regular customer, I am over the moon with Wieland’s quality in their smoked meats no less than the award winning “hole in the wall” family businesses that have been staples in my community for many decades. To top it off, their service and friendliness is unheard of with bbq this good. Finally, I have found a new place to fill the void and can confidently say that they are 100% southern belle approved!!

Edit: response generated by AI after I put a lot of thought into the review is kind of a bummer :/ but I guess good bbq places need spotty customer service after all just putting all their effort into the food I guess!)

The college kids were friendly, catered to our request, looking forward to going back again. The pulled pork, brisket, and turkey were all really good.
