Cozy and relaxing place. Outdoor setting was a plus. Can't have enough of crab balls, so delicious.

Not a fan of Abners! I used to enjoy eating here before Covid. I've eaten here a couple times since then. The crabs were ok but very expensive! The seafood choices are average or below. If you order take out check your order, you may be missing some of it. The experience when dining in for me, I felt we were being rushed to order eat and get out. It didn't matter if there weren't many tables filled and if they were filled it was a fiasco. Trying to place an order for take out can take time as well. Then your wait time to get the food sometimes is an hour in my past experiences.my order has been forgotten and lost already and I had to reorder it and I was there with others that had gotten there food and we had to wait for ours . We generally ordered food after a fishing trip and would eat on way back to PA. I started going to places along the way back there are plenty of places to get crabs and other seafood that is much cheaper and tastier. I wish it was like it used to be at Abners! I loved there crab balls back in the day! Now they aren't nowhere near the size they were.
They have slot machines bit I haven't one anything to mention and I usually spend 500 to 600 while I wait for food. This last time I was there I only lost $150 and had enough and I left. Goodluck if you do play them!

This place is kind of a hole in the wall. Slow service. Employees are interesting . The muscles over cooked and over seasoned. The coconut shrimp awful. Hush puppies ok. Crab cakes ehhh. The SERVICE CHARGE on bills over 100$ was a fun surprise. It’s a 20% gratuity basically. It was loud and full of loud people . If you want to rub elbows with people of Walmart… this is the spot for you. It’s not a nice place at all. Don’t dress up. Won’t be back.

Abners Crab House

We went to Abner’s crab house a few nights ago for dinner. PHENOMENAL FOOD & PHENOMENAL SERVICE!
Their crab cakes are delicious! PACKED WITH CRAB MEAT AND FLAVOR! Big crab cakes and broiled to perfection!!
Hush puppies perfect and served with warm honey!
Snow crab on point, not cold or overcooked!
Fish was NOT chewy or over cooked!
Onion rings perfect crunch!
Fried oysters were delicious! And NOT SERVED SOAGY!
Scallops were NOT CHEWY or over cooked!
Shrimp were NOT CHEWY or over cooked and perfectly seasoned!

We didn’t get a chance to check out their game room; food was so good we over ate!

I cannot wait to go back and eat! Their food and service was worth every penny!

We’ve grown up in Maryland so we’re not shy when it comes to seafood. We’ve been to numerous other seafood restaurants even some of the ‘best’ and I am always disappointed with food, price and service! But Abner’s was absolutely fantastic!

Unfortunately my family and I had an awful experience. Some of our food was overcooked. We were given the worst waitress there and unfortunately, since we were a party of six, it automatically added the 20% tip, which she definitely did not deserve. We were left without drinks several times. She continuously disappeared and the restaurant was not busy. We had to ask for things numerous times and half of the time we never received them. Something as simple as a glass of water or ketchup. Finally, we just gave up and asked for the check. I will never recommend this place to anyone and I will not return to this place. It’s very sad to see this place take a deep dive like this. For a bill over $300 there are plenty of other better seafood places to go to.

I called to ask about the $1 oyster special I saw posted on the business’s Facebook page. The woman who answered the phone was extremely rude and dismissive. When I mentioned the promotion, she snapped, “What year?”—which was not only unprofessional but unnecessary.

Whether the deal is outdated or not, there’s a respectful way to communicate with customers, and this definitely wasn’t it. Based on her attitude, I honestly wondered if she was under the influence while working, which is very concerning.

I can’t support a business that treats potential customers this way. Very disappointed.
