The coffee is good and the atmosphere is pleasant, but they ran out of most of their food options by noon. I'd go back again if I just needed a drink but if you want to get something to eat, be sure to get up in the morning.

Loved this stop in Chestertown! Walking around for the day needed a coffee so grabbed a mocha from here and a cheddar herb loaf for dinner. Mocha hit the spot and was not too sweet. The bread was fantastic! Salty butter with this bread with a salad is just perfect. Also toasted with applebutter for breakfast YUM!
The food was okay, but we really would have liked the savory meat pie and croissant to be served warm. The staff politely indicated that they couldn't do that because they don't have a microwave.

Evergrain is such a wonderful staple in the Chestertown community! From their delicious lattes and coffee to their exquisite baked goods and baguettes.
My personal faves are their Sun Buns and Buzz Bars but I also love their croissants, cookies and muffins - really anything I’ve tried!
On a Saturday you may see a line out the door and for good reason! Don’t let that deter you, it does quickly and is worth the short wait!

Ran in for something healthy, my favorite sandwich, turkey 2. Haven't been in for awhile and was shocked at the size of the sandwich, way smaller and not what it used to be. More bread than anything and that was very dry. Won't do that again. These businesses 🤔. Just charge more and keep it the same! I did get a buzz bar; can never go wrong with that.

Ham and cheese croissant had literally one layer of about one square inch of meat and cheese. I thought it was a cheap frozen food but was told it was from here. Flavor was good but come on how cheap can you be?
Delicious latte and pasty breakfast sandwich. Surprisingly didn't need to be heated up to enjoy the taste. This may be our Sunday morning coffee spot.

We had two delicious cookies and a fantastic pastry. Great lattes. Indoor seating is limited but there are a few outside tables.

Excellent breads and pastries. The line is out the door some mornings.
Stopped in while passing through. So glad we did. Thankfully it was late in the afternoon. Otherwise we would have bought so much more. We tried to bring home a seeded baguette. It was far too good to make it for the half hour journey. Definitely delicious. I noticed they have outdoor seating. This is a plus as we won't have to leave the pup in the car. I must add the young lady behind the counter was a delight. I hope she tries the cream cheese/ red pepper jelly combo. Can't wait to pass by again. We might even make it a special morning trip.
Long line but worth it if you have the time to wait. I got the turkey hand pie and it was SOOO good. The lattes are really good too but way too light, don’t taste like coffee, so just get an extra shot and it’s perfect :). The pastries are really good.
The food is decent but they are usually out of most things by the end of the day. The employees are rude and the owner is even worse.
Great place to get morning coffee and all kinds of delicious pastries and breads. Great lattes too!
