Thank you MSAK for serving delicious, nutrient dense foods with excellent customer service. We can’t get food this quality unless we make it ourselves at home so we travelled from TX to visit MSAK and it was worth every minute!

We continue to have repeated excellence in service and our food experiences. I feel so grateful to be eating real bread again after 17 years living GF. 100% recommend.

My husband & I visited twice in the last week while on vacation in the area. The food is amazing ! But the customer service is next level! When I say customer service, I’d like to talk about the kindness & attentiveness of the staff. They go above & beyond to help there customers. The lady behind the pastry counter walked we through all the pastries and their ingredients to help me decide. Then search through their inventory to find shirts for me & my husband. I would highly recommend!!

Last night was first friday and we picked up 2 pizzas to go; meat lovers and a simple red sauce and cheese. Both were superb. There was a wine tasting going on and the atmosphere was one of people being fed and being happy together.

A true culinary gem in maryland nay the whole country! Where else in the area can you find such an establishment committed to true health and traditional ways of food processing? Not only that you can actually take cooking classes there! Everything from sourdough bread to how to process animals and use the organs! Delicious food! Make sure to bring a cooler if you go as they have lots of excellent refrigerated products. Bill and Christina and crew truly care about bringing healthy and tasty food to the area and it shows. Thank you!

Was excited to try this place for the first time (heard about the ancestral methods, traditional food prep, scratch-made everything, local ingredients, etc.). Came for pizza night. Bummed to say it was nothing to write home about. The white pizza, marketed as a “garlic lover’s dream” with “house made mozzarella and ricotta,” had zero flavor. Maybe could’ve been improved with some fresh herbs—literally the health food store across the street is growing basil on the sidewalk. Wouldn’t get more local than that. Perhaps just an off night for the white pizza?
Considered buying some sourdough baked goods before I left or even signing up for a cooking class in the future. But then I saw the trans flag in the centerpiece on the table next to me outside. Then on another. Then all the paraphernalia inside the building. A business built on ancestral, traditional cooking that prioritizes health above all else should certainly know the fundamental distinctions of male and female—the bedrock of human continuity. Dumbfounded to say the least.

I wasn't impressed. My order arrived and it wasn't what I ordered and so I had to wait (as did my associates). Food portions are small and expensive. Food quality is average.

Highly recommend this kitchen to everyone !! :)
The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly and very helpful !! The outdoor seating was very nice when it wasn't raining. It was a great meeting place for our families coming from different areas, from MD and DE. The only drawback was finding a parking space that day because the Chestertown Farmers & Artisians Market Event was going on too. Recommend going early because their most popular items on their menu sell out quickly. Their bake goods were delicious as well !! :)

I have been enjoying MSAK products since their business started. I enjoy the staff who bring all the wonderful products to the Kent Island farmer's Market. 5 stars+ for MSAK!

We enjoyed a delicious meal during the tea party weekend. I’ve eaten there a couple of times and have never been disappointed. We came home with sourdough bread and a loaf of focaccia herb bread. So good I’ll be back on Wednesday to purchase more. The Tea Party weekend is crazy but staff couldn’t have been more courteous and cheerful.

We traveled from Ohio to stay for several days over Valentine's Day at the Modern Stone Age Sanctuary and eat all of our meals at the Modern Stone Age Kitchen. It was nothing less than fabulous! All the employees treated us like we were the number one customer. Bill and Christina Schindler and family are such amazing people. We are so grateful and blessed to be able to share in their passion of making the most nourishing foods possible. We cannot wait to return and hope to make it an annual Valentines Day trip!

Such a friendly place to visit! Hmm, the last time I was here I was doing gluten free - so I had a sandwich made salad style. They said they could make any sandwich a salad! And it’s fun to eat here - we like the stainless cups for the water! Also I have to admit their sourdough bread is a staple - I keep it in my freezer and I love their pizza. The white is my favorite.
