We were a party of four. The crab soup and calamari was delicious. Also our entrees which included the ribeye, shrimp spaghettini, fish and chips and trout parmesan . Our waiter Will was absolutely amazing. He checked on us constantly and made sure our dietary needs were met.

We took Texas relatives who loved the food and wished they had a Clydes restaurant near them. Our food was excellent and our waiter attentive. As always the noise level was low so we could carry on a conversation without having to yell or ask for repeats of what was said.

Clyde"s is always reliable; but food has really improved over the past few months. My friends enjoyed generous lobster rolls, and I chose a delicious Steak Frite. We wrapped up by splitting the Bailey's cheesecake - just the right size to split and excellent.

We were impressed by the high quality of food across the board, as well the excellent service and enjoyable travel-themed ambience. Exceeded our expectations - my foodie family was surprised at how excellent this chain restaurant actually was compared to some more touted local restaurants.

Friendly and convenient with excellent service at a reasonable price. A favorite neighborhood restaurant.

It feels like walking into a time capsule when you eat at Clyde's in Chevy Chase. The decor is decades out of date. There are these weird, dusty fringe lamps at every table. They did not look clean. Above the tables were these racks holding old suitcases, I guess to mimic an old train car. These suitcases were askew, and dusty and weird. The bathrooms are down a lot of stairs, and when you get to the bottom of the stairs, it feels like you're looking at the old restaurant from the Titanic or something. Empty and left to rot for decades at the bottom of the sea. Again, just a weird space. There are giant tubes, I think air-conditioning vents, pumping into the restaurant when you walk in the door. We had tried to go to this Clyde's one other time because I had good memories of Clyde‘s when I was younger. We did not go on that first try because of these weird tubes pumping something into the restaurant. We thought the building was under construction. It should be under construction, and undergoing a total revamp, but it's not. There also are big air conditioning units on wheels in different spots. Seems like they need to get their air conditioning fixed. There were plenty of staff members. We had probably four different people come to our table at various point. But they never seemed to come when you wanted them to. We had to ask random people for drink refills, we had to solicit someone to get our check at the end of our meal because no one was coming over. The food is mediocre. I got the chicken number one sandwich, and it was presented open-faced with a tomato and a piece of lettuce on the open side of the top of the bun. This piece of lettuce was almost entirely black. It was slimy and soft and dripping with some sort of liquid. It was a really, really sad presentation. The rest of the food was nothing to write home about. I don't see myself going back.

A nice place to have brunch with family. They know how to handle customers with children. Very accommodating. Service and food were very good.

I am a regular at Clyde's Chevy Chase, Tower Oaks, and Willow Creek, and I've never had a bad bite of food at any of them! It is always a great experience, and the servers are always kind and helpful. The cream of crab soup can't be passed up, and the steak and salmon salads are great! I also enjoy the Faroe Island Salmon entree, and my husband loves the classic burger. My brother and I always get the calamari when we dine together. Never fails to be good! Clyde's, no matter in which place we eat is cozy and comfortable! We are so happy for this frequent go/to place we know we'll love for any meal! Thank you!!

There were four young ladies at the front desk when we walked in. Not one said hello or smiled. I stated I had a reservation and one of them said “follow me” had a pretty warm reception. I ordered a $16.99 mocktail I came in an 8 ounce glass full of ice. It was supposed to be strawberry basil and it tasted like Hawaiian punch from the 1970s. We ordered fried green tomatoes and the shrimp was over salted and over seasoned. I got eggs Benedict with crabcakes and it was fine and my two guests enjoyed their lobster rolls. The place was empty so noise wasn't an issue.

Once I found a waiter & told him that we had theater at 1 pm, our service was better. We arrived at 11 am, had to sit outside because the ac was still broken & it took an hour to get our food. Andrew, our waiter, was on top of our service but still took a long time to get our food. Brunch was good - cinnamon bread 1st, eggs Benedict, lox platter, scrambled eggs & bacon.

Food was great, server seemed to have a lot of tables at once, air conditioning is still broken, so air is coming in through hoses from exterior.

The lively crowd outside makes the noise level moderate. Inside it's one of the quietest restaurants I have been to.
