I am so happy to have a restaurant of this caliber in Friendship Heights. It's the sort of dining experience I expect to have downtown but I'm thrilled to have it just around the corner from my home. We came in without reservations on a Saturday night and had no problem getting a table (again, a place like this would be packed if it were downtown or somewhere like U Street). The food, cocktails, and service were great. Jose took good care of us. They are not kidding when they say the XL plates are meant to be shared--we split the short rib sandwich and it was massive. We ordered a few appetizers and the scallops with the toasted bread was our favorite (maybe ask for more bread so you can fully soak up that excellent parmesan sauce!). And leave room for dessert! We had the ube ice cream and it was fantastic.

Really wanted to love this place. Food was decent but not good enough to make me want to return. Not a great value and not memorable. Definitely do not get the prawns (3 small head on shrimp in a heavy sauce). They give you a toasted slice of bread (Wonder bread) for the sauce. Now I understand why I was able to get a reservation at 7:30 on a Friday night. There are much better options.

Stopped in for Happy Hour (5-8pm) drinks. The HH Old Fashioned ($10) was great. I did not care for the Passion Over Perfection; too smoky, too citrusy, too Mezcal-y.

Came here for happy hour with a big group and was a little bummed that you can only do the HH menu from the bar, but still enjoyed ourselves. The food is very good and the drinks were a hit. The ambiance is pretty great, too!

Quick bite on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Brunch menu has a bunch of Latin inspired classics. We kept it very light. The pineapple flan dessert was one of the best we’ve had.Server was very helpful, parking was validated

In a relatively small restaurant, with an open bar area, a large boisterous birthday party, it all added up to a noisy and rather unpleasant experience. I told the host that I am hard of hearing and asked that my husband and I be seated as far away from the noise as possible. The farthest table was a booth. He placed us at a. 2 top not too far away from the noise and said that the booths were only for parties of 3 or 4. The rest of the evening he put parties of two at the table that he refused us. When I pointed this out he said, "they wanted to be far away from the noise!" I said that's what I asked for, and I'm hard of hearing. He apologized and scurried away, never meeting my eyes again. The food was very good, but we won't be back.

Had an amazing meal there last week with another couple. The waiter recommended an off-menu fixed price meal for $75 per person; they brought out a mix of dishes over 4 courses served family style. Everything was delicious - an amazing value for all the food we got, and it was fun to try so many dishes. It was more or less a 12-course tasting menu with all the things we got to try. Most of the dishes were very inventive - like nothing I'd had anywhere else. Drinks were also amazing. And service was great - the waiter was on the ball all night and really helpful at guiding us. Can't wait to return.

I've been here 3 times now and I can't say enough about the amazing food and trendy atmosphere. Don't miss the colossal short rib sandwich for dinner (plenty to share with 2-4 people) and the bati bati for dessert
