Generally the food was quote good ... the only disappointing item was the "Otoro Sashimi" ie the fat belly tuna sahshimi.... at $60 for 5 -6 pieces, it should melt in your mouth and should be FREE of any tendons ie "un-chewable" parts ...whihc was not the case ...and also it was not fully thawed ...so felt a bit too cold vs that feeling of "yummm....melts" in my mouth. My family and I love Sushiko, and we go there fairly regularly both for lunch and dinner and have been doing so for the last 10-15 years. The food is outstanding. Staff is great, and the owner is always there, remembers my name for some incomprehensible reason and is always very friendly. They just added bento boxes for lunch. They are on a separate menu you should ask for. Our favorites are the sushi bento (which is different than the larger sushi and sashimi bento), chicken...
I finally had the chance to experience Sushiko's omakase, and I only wish I had gone sooner because it was absolutely incredible. Our sushi chef was wonderful and incredibly accommodating; it was clear he genuinely wanted our food to be perfect and our experience to be positive. Although the omakase is priced at $140 per person and was supposed to be a fourteen-course meal, we received more than fourteen courses. That extra surprise made the price feel easy to justify.
