Great menu but the food was very slow to come and the chicken on the salads was poached (o think) and VERY bland.

Fun place on St. Patrick's Day! The beef stew was excellent. The music was great. I'll definitely go back.

The Beef Chuck in Guinness gravy is particularly good. I've also had the "Hound Burger" there, and liked it a lot. Next time, I'd like to try the Salmon and one of the desserts. We enjoyed the jazz band on Saturday evening 2/22.

On all of our past visits here, we have been blown away by the quality of the meals. This time, not so much. We each ordered the burger and asked for varying degrees of ‘doneness' ranging from Medium Raw to Medium Well. The Medium-Medium burger arrived raw and had to be sent back. When it returned, only one-half of the burger had been recooked; the other half was in its original state. My Medium-Well request produced a burger that was more on the Medium-Raw side but edible. Only the person who ordered a Medium-Raw burger was pleased. Perhaps the chef objects to cooking burgers beyond their raw state? I realize that most of their patrons are probably not wine drinkers (especially white wine drinkers) but could we few have a larger selection of white wines (by the glass) available? The young lady waiting on our table was attentive and helpful. We made a confusing request re how we wanted to split the bill but she immediately produced the version that made all our lives easier. A big shoutout for providing a birthday treat free of charge and singing happy birthday to the birthday girl. That was lovely!

The Hunter's Hound Restaurant was perfect for a last-minute Valentine's date. The menu has the usual pub grub, but some dishes stand out. My partner got the Fried Chicken Sandwich and a Chardonnay, while I went with the Filet of Beef Medallions and a Guinness Draught Stout. Everything was absolutely spot on, and the food quality was genuinely exceptional! This place is great for hanging out with friends or grabbing a casual dinner. Just keep in mind that it can get pretty loud during peak times.

"Hunter Hound: A Perfect Venue for Our Holiday Party"
"We recently hosted our annual holiday cocktail party at Hunter's Hound, and it was a resounding success. From the initial reservation process to the final goodbyes, the staff was incredibly accommodating, ensuring the space was arranged perfectly to our liking.
Arriving early, I had the pleasure of meeting the bartender who would be assisting us, along with the rest of the friendly staff. While service initially felt a bit slow in getting consistent drink orders beyond the bartender, we addressed this with a manager, and were promptly assigned a dedicated server who worked seamlessly alongside the bartender. This significantly improved the flow of the evening and helped to get dishes cleared at a greater speed.
The food arrived promptly and was hot, though I wish they had a wider selection of shareable options, such as oysters, for a more social dining experience. While the food wasn't the most exquisite, everyone enjoyed their hors d'oeuvres. The dessert, however, was absolutely delicious.
Hunter Hound itself was beautifully decorated for the holidays, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. The space was perfect for our group of around 40 guests, allowing ample room for mingling and comfortable movement.
Parking was convenient with validation offered, although it doesn't fully cover the cost. Nonetheless, it was a hassle-free process.
Overall, our holiday party at Hunter Hound was a delightful experience. We highly recommend this venue and plan to return for a work happy hour in the future."

After waiting 12 minutes and not as much as a glass of water, we decided to move on. If this happens to you, there is no shortage of options close buy. We went one restaurant down and service was much better.

A fine place. The fish and chips were undercooked but still tasty. I dunno, it was fine.

I can't really give this place a fair review until I visit again. This visit the food was ok. The service sucked. We had a girl's night and had to look for our server several times and they weren't that busy for him not to be attentive. Stay tuned for the update...

I hosted an event for work here and the staff and atmosphere were great. Working with Niamh was a pleasure, and our bartender onsite, Cloe, was friendly and prompt.

The atmosphere was great. I really appreciated that the music was not blasting and my group could have comfortable conversations without screaming at each other.

The drinks and appetizers we ordered were tasty and perfect for our group. We ordered the mini hot dogs and the burrata platter (which comes with bottomless bread).

I definitely want to come back on personal time to try the entrees.
