Very attractive restaurant with fine food & a bar with live music on occasion. We found our food selections very tasty, the service efficient & friendly, and the atmosphere lively & pleasant. We will return!

To say I love this place is an understatement. From the management to the bar and wait staff, everything is fantastic. I come here at least twice a week — with rugby, maybe more. I have not only never had a bad meal here, I’ve never had bad service or bad anything. I am so glad to have a place like this in my neighborhood! When I come here, I feel like family. Can’t ask for more than that.

We are locals and go several times a week. The ownership and staff are the friendliest and most customer service oriented people I’ve come across in some time. Food is top notch. From the Friday fish special to the beef and Guinness, excellent. And never had a bad drink (thank you Shane)

Food, Service, Value, Parking - Hunter's Hound has it all. Best fish and chips in DMV; best mussels in DMV. Beautifully plated with professional, friendly service. Guinness correctly built. Terrific value.

Pretty average, more style over substance. Good for a no fuss lunch if you’re in the area.

I went here for supper. The server greeted me politely when I arrived. I ordered a pineapple cider. It wasn't to my taste, but some folks who like super sweet cider might enjoy it.I ordered fish and chips for supper. It came with one large piece of fish and two smaller ones. The fish was nicely cooked with a crunchy batter. It was served with a generous portion of fries and a side of tartar sauce and ketchup. The server brought a bottle of malt vinegar without me asking, which I thought was a nice touch.Over the course of my meal I was served by three different people, but overall the service was good. The manager came by and checked in on everything at a few different tables, which impressed me.One point worth noting is the noise. The restaurant was about half full, but the volume of the noise made the experience less enjoyable. The decor includes what appeared to be time tiles on the ceiling, which are cool to look at but may have contributed to the noise. If you don't mind it loud, this is a decent place.I expect that anyone who is Hard of Hearing would have a hard time having a conversation here. There were some interesting looking cocktails and food items on the menu and I might go back again to try them.

I head here for Ireland rugby and the people are fantastic! The staff are courteous and efficient. And the owners clearly appreciate the costumers, always giving warm welcomes.Vegetarian options: The options they have are very tasty and I’ve never left feeling like there’s been any cross contamination.

The hours say they are open till midnight and the kitchen is open till 10pm but that is not true. The kitchen is open until orders stop coming in. If you get there at 9:30 but there have been no orders for an hour, the kitchen is closed. At 10:30, there were at least a few tabs still open, but the bar mats were being collected. By 10:40, the music was off. By 10:50, the bartenders were clearly waiting for the tabs to close out. When my friend and I left shortly before 11, we were joyfully escorted to the door, which was locked behind us.If you don't actually want to be open till midnight with the kitchen till 10, fine, don't be, but then don't have your hours on your website and Google as such. There are people in the world who are just getting done for the day around that hour and would like a place that's not a dive to grab a bite and a drink.I'm grateful to have discovered the rum old fashioned, and the food has been solidly tasty - when I've been able to have it. But service industry folks - find somewhere else to go.
