“Love Gateway Cafe! The grilled ham and cheese sandwich is one of my go-to favorites, and the lunch menu never disappoints. Affordable prices and great food every time.”
The Gateway Cafe. Honestly one of the best hidden gems of Clarksburg, Maryland. I ordered the Pancake Deluxe Platter ($12.49) and the price was reasonable, the pancakes were phenomenal, eggs were well cooked and seasoned as well as the bacon. And the potato was cooked well and salted. The service was great as well! Staff were extremely nice, and the food wait time was only about 6-7 minutes. The interior is also beautifully decorated/designed and it had pleasent customers as well! Great selection of songs over the speakers as well. Will 100% recommend this restaurant to all and all of Clarksburg residents!

Decided to finally try this spot out as it’s close to my house. I ordered togo a bacon, egg and cheese on toast with lettuce, tomatoes and mayonnaise, and ordered of home fries and a Snapple drink, which came to about $13.
The sandwich only had 3 slices of bacon on it, and on top of that the bacon tasted old. Some parts of the bacon was leathery and other parts brittle very easily…, making for very uncooperative bites. The home fries were delicious with the first two bites that included the crusted fried top of the home fries. But once you passed the crust, they tasted like vegetables oil and was kinda hard to continue chewing.
Taste is a very difficult thing to explain in some aspects, because we all have different palates. So in my opinion I wasn’t impressed with the food. But 3 pieces of old bacon, that barely covered the sandwich, is a bit disappointing especially for the price. I may return to try other items on the huge menu at a later time. But this review is strictly about what I ordered and my opinion on this visit.

Really good food and coffee. Fast service. Kind of a hole in the wall place but was very busy and handled the lunch rush well. Order at the counter and wait for them to let you know when food was ready and you come back to get it.

I have never been to a coffee shop\\dinner that covers all the electrical outlets so that customers cannot charge phones or computers. I found this very strange. Also the bathroom door was locked from the inside and you needed the person at the register to unlock it... All this in what seems like a very safe suburban area. Food was fine. Prices a little high. They did seem to have a wide variety of customers from locals to people working in the area.

They got my order wrong again but I was too hungry to complain. May have been a misunderstanding but I probably won't be going back
