Red Bowl Sushi & Asian Bistro

A couple days ago, I decided to stop by Red Bowl for some sushi. I wasn't sure what exactly I wanted so I went in and asked for the menu. Their menus were old and had all the prices crossed off because they were not updated, but I didn't think much of it since I understand not wanting to be wasteful.

I decided to order the chirashi bowl that was supposed to come with 14 pcs of fish. The total came out to $27 and some change. I thought the price was a bit high given that I could've ordered Kusshi's chirashi for about the same price, but for 14 pcs of fish, who was I to complain.

I picked up my order and went home to eat. I noticed that the bag felt fairly light, but sushi isn't exactly dense. When I got home, the first thing I noticed was that there were only 10 pieces of actual raw fish. They also threw in a single imitation crab stick cut in half and some radish which do not count as raw fish. I was baffled that they would only give me that small of a portion after paying $27. The rice is a separate issue. It was completely unseasoned. Chirashi comes with sushi rice that has salt, sugar, and vinegar. Instead, they tossed a few sesame seeds and called it a day. It was extremely disappointing and I'd even go as far as saying this is a scam.

I do not recommend this place to anyone if they are looking for even mediocre to low quality sushi. It is not worth it whatsoever and I will be filing a chargeback for this scam of a meal.

Arrived around 5 PM and ordered Taiwanese rice noodles with brown sauce. It was EXCELLENT! Food came out fast (we were the only ones there) and the waitress was kind. This was my first time there and I will definitely be back! 😀

I love the shrimp fried rice here. I get it all the time and the lady at the front desk is always nice to me.

The lady who took our orders was very nice BUT very rushed to get us out. It was 8:20. It was not busy at all.
When we were almost done ordering she said that’s it and closed the menu in front of me.
They seem very opinionated…saying 2 beers is enough, when I asked for something on the menu t they told me not to get it because it wasn’t good, I got it and it was delicious.
When we were paying she pointed to the tip and said “because it was a big order”. Even tho my bf tipped 21% in cash. We ordered for two…drinks,appetizer,two dishes and a dessert.
Thought that was very odd to do…
The food was delicious would come again but definitely hope next time they arnt so pushy and opinionated about everything.

I have been here 20 times and food is usually good BUT today I ordered mango and sticky rice, my favorite dessert. They gave me regular white rice (no sticky rice) mangoes and crushed peanuts. Not only is that totally wrong, but when I asked for a refund they said they have done it this way for 10 years. Said I have to drive it to them and they might give me a refund. Really poor business practice and they lost a 5 year loyal customer

The waitress is awful, she is annoying, the last time i dined in she came out of the rest room with latex gloves on, but served our food with them on😬

The food was awesome and the waitress was very friendly and helpful would recommend if you are interested in getting great food and friendly service. I don’t understand some of the reviews saying about being pressured for a higher tip and rudeness of staff did not experience anything like that. But still would recommend to anyone that wants great food and friendly service at a decent price. Have a blessed day

Best local Chinese restaurant in the Clarksburg area! My favorite dishes are the chicken with string beans and Mongolian beef! Tasted authentic with loads of flavor and everything came out quickly. The owners were also very friendly and took time to greet me. They have great sushi too! Definitely try

Everything I have tried has been great. This place is under rated for the price and taste! I will be back.

I tried the following appetizers: enamame and the vegetables tempura. Both were really good. The tangy chicken and white rice were really good, too. Even though the tip was already included on the check, the waitress questioned me, thinking that I had only left her a $4 tip (cash). I had to explain to her that the $4 dollars were in addition to the 18% tip that I had already paid by card.
