My wife and I have been going to El Azteca since the 90's and they have never failed. From the amazing fried Jalepeno appetizer to the Chicken Mole. Or the Rainbow Trout Vera Cruz. And OMG, the Cadillac Margarita's. Even during the pandemic, they were open and it was like nothing happened. Just an amazing place run by amazing people! Thank you Gilberto and family.

My family loved this place before we moved away. I recently got to dine there again, and it was lovely as always. The chips and salsa are our favorite part. Delicious and just the right amount of spice. The tacos al pastor are awesome. I appreciate that the salsa verde is served on the side as to keep them from getting soggy, but would highly recommend that anyone ordering the tacos al pastor add it on. It's the best part!

I have always loved coming here and the food was always good. I had not been in about eight months and visited them today. Horrible food - horrible horrible food. The restaurant smells dirty and musty so if you can get past that, good luck. I ordered some chicken enchiladas and the chicken was cubed (not pulled) and tasted 3 days old. The bartender noticed my face and I was honest with him that it was inedible so I ordered something else with beef. Same thing. Flavor was way off. I don’t know if the cheese was spoiled or what but everything was simply gross. There was no seasoning other than the gross spoiled flavor. This is not Mexican food anymore. The salsa on top of the food was good but the tortillas are store bought junk, and the meat was spoiled, or perhaps had freezer burn? I can’t go back. When you take a few bites and already know your stomach is going to be torn up later, that’s not a good experience.

Horrible experience! Service was bad. Tacos al pastor I don’t not recommend them because it’s just steak. The refried beans are from a can. The chicken for the mole is just precooked chicken. The mole itself is just bad. The chile verdad is pork and it was off. The waiter told us because it’s a predominately white cliente they change things around. If you want a Mexican or Hispanic cuisine experience. THIS IS NOT IT!
We're going back again on Tuesday. Pork enchiladas and Margaritas. Yum. -ew

I have a gluten allergy. They advertise food on their menu as being gluten free. When I questioned if there chips really were GF, I didn’t appreciate having to debate what is safe to eat with the server. She didn’t want to hear that the GF description was misleading because although it was corn, it was crossed contaminated in the cooking. It is hard enough eating out when gluten intolerant. The last thing I need is someone with obviously no knowledge of what sets off an allergic reaction to continue insist that as long as it was corn, nothing else mattered. Needless to say I was very uncomfortable after that by her attitude towards me. If you are also GF for health reasons, be very careful eating here. There are too many accommodating, safe places to risk eating here.
