Absolutely terrible service. We did get our drinks, but nobody came back to get our food order. We left without eating. Very disappointing!

Average food, bad bad bad service, they took forever to offer us a measly drink, since there are only 2 waitresses, dirty bathrooms and to top it all off, they assigned us a MANDATORY 20% tip without prior notice or notification of any kind for being Latin. a group of two adults because they are Latinos while the Americans sitting right next to us simply omit this process, which I saw myself and demonstrated to the manager who said they did the same with everyone... don't see the look on her face when she told him I showed both invoices ? how much nerve being a Latina who always leaves a tip feels simply humiliating!!! That our own people treat us like this, for me it is an establishment not suitable for the Spanish-speaking community, I will not return and much less recommend it. This is our third visit to El Azteca. We had a great dining experience each time. The staff are friendly and attentive. The food selection is extensive and delicious. With a reservation they easily accommodated our group of eight. Fantastic margarita selection too!

We have been dining here for nearly 25 years - this is the best Mexican food in the area, bar none….especially the frozen peach margarita with sugar on the rim. The in-house chips/salsa/guacamole are always great but the favorites include enchiladas verdes, California tortillas, sabrosa, grilled shrimp in garlic sauce, and the grilled rainbow trout. The tres leches dessert is the best we have found since visiting Costa Rica. They also do an awesome job with carry out. Fantastic!Parking: Not a massive lot but we have never had a problem. More parking around all sides of the building.Kid-friendliness: Not a huge restaurant but we have been bringing our kids here for 20 years - always great.
