I took My Son to the crafty crab in Clinton Maryland. I took him there to celebrate his promotion on the job. I ordered some Crab french fries and they weren’t to my liking. I asked the waitress could I please change my order and she proceeded to get the manager. The manager came to my table with an attitude and asked me why I didn’t like the fries. I told her I didn’t know I was going to get fries with just crab meat thrown on top. I thought it would be baked in. She proceeded to tell me well, I’m letting you know if you order it from any other restaurant that’s how you’re going to get it, then she snatched the Crab fries off the table and walked off with an attitude. I wouldn’t recommend going to this restaurant. They’re located at 8821 Woodyard Rd., Clinton, MD 20735.

I loveeeee Crafty Crab, I live near Clinton but rather travel to Alexandria for better service. Everytime I let my guards down & try Clinton location they ALWAYS FAIL ME. One visit my chicken wasn’t cooked fully. They brought new ones & they weren’t as well. I always ask for mayo & they refuse to give it, LIES & say they don’t have any. So how do you make the crab sauce without mayo? A new server messed up the order & they REFUSED to fix. The female manager has a NASTY attitude & should not be in customer service. CUSTOMERS SHOULD BE ABLE TO CUSTOMIZE THEIR BAG TO EXCHANGE LOWER PRICED ITEMS. (Ex. if I want to sub more sausage in the place of shrimp, eggs in the place of corn & potatoes it’s CHEAPER.) Instead they’ll make you purchase 1 pound. MAKE THE CUSTOMERS HAPPY MAN. I was very upset that the shrimp or its batter has changed. The 1/4 sausage is skimpy, like 3-4 slices.) The Medium spice level tastes like mild. Last but not least going towards the restroom smell like sewer & the water they’re serving taste like that smell.

I arrived at 9:32 and the website and the door clearly says they close at 10. Bartender immediately says oh we’re closed. I’m like I can’t get Togo and she says the kitchen is also closed. Figure it out

We had a great overall experience at this location. Our server’s name was Camille and she was excellent, professional, accommodating, and had a warm personality.
Our only point of dissatisfaction was the whole potatoes. At other locations the potatoes are cut or smaller. The ones we had lacked flavor in comparison. Everything else was great. We ordered crab legs and headless shrimp boils and had corn and potatoes. Overall the food delicious and we would return.

Finally got an opportunity to visit a couple weeks ago! As someone that lives local, I think it’s important to support the different establishments that come to the area so I was looking forward to a chance to experience this crafty crab location.
We went on a Saturday afternoon and were able to walk right in and find seats at the bar. The bartender was amazing, honest, helpful, and funny. We ordered a couple rounds of drinks and anticipated “hanging out” for a while so we didn’t grab food immediately upon arriving. We got to have the crab fries, but nothing else.
Everything was great for the most part until we abruptly were told that we would not be serviced anymore, but not given a reason. One of the employees stared us down from across the bar for a while and I think she had something to do with it. No one from our group was belligerent or incoherent. We were respectful to the staff, so aside from the stare off we’re not sure what happened. The bar was starting to fill up and the “regulars” appeared to be coming in by this point so we just took our business elsewhere.
I would like to visit again, but hopefully I’m not made to be uncomfortable and refused service without an explanation next time.

Since temporarily living in Virginia, I've become addicted to crab boils. I already had crabs, so I purchased their eggs instead. I ordered three eggs, totaling six, with their boom sauce at medium season level. Upon opening the first set, I noticed the lack of sauce but thought nothing of it until I opened the other two, which contained a tablespoon or less of watered-down, greasy sauce with no flavor. Given that we pay hard-earned money at your establishment, I expect to receive what I paid for. I will never again visit the Virginia locations.
We treated very well but because the open signs were off didn't know if open or closed was told to too much electricity as the placeem ? was lite up oops ? ? and too much electricity WOW !!

My daughter treated me for Mother's day lunch. We've gone to other locations but I like this one. I'm glad we gave it a second chance because the first time was a extremely long wait for a table but food is deliciously fresh cooked. Our server was Mary, very nice personality so I told her she was perfect as a waitress, says she's a retired grandma! Waited on us with a smile....oysters as appetizers were perfect as well as the sea boil. My daughter and I love, love seafood ..passed down from my dad's genes! Definitely will go again..as lunch ....not dinner lol.
TodayI did an Uber eat order from Crafty Crab in Clinton today. It was so nasty and dry. Called the restaurant and spoke to a manager and she said all she could do was speak to the kitchen.....I spent almost $90....not to mention all the money I've spent in previous visits there.....I'm very disappointed in the customer service....I doubt i will ever go back to the Clinton location.
