We got the fried chicken wings, buffalo wings, fried fish, and chocolate- chocolate cake. I also got the mashed potatoes and greens. I would give 5 stars to the fried wings! Absolutely delish. The greens were gritty and needed seasoning (trying to get my veggies in). The mashed potatoes were just okay. I didn't taste any gravy though I thought it came with it. The fish was liked and the hush puppies were FIRE!! The chocolate cake was okay, nothing to write home about. It was moist enough.
I would return, get the fried wings, hush puppies, and maybe try another side. Maybe I'd try a pie next time or skip dessert. lol

I’m sad to say this place has went down hill. There chicles are so tiny, but prices increase. The Mac wis mid and collards were disgusting. They need to bring back normal size wings if anything.

I frequent this Hip Hop location because they are usually fast and good. My last visit was disappointing and I believe it was because they appeared to be close to closing. My order was correct, but all of the food appeared to not be cooked thoroughly and the fries were soggy. I will continue to visit this location but not close to closing time.

Disgusting. We were traveling for a sports game and decided to give this place a try. We ordered the catfish dinner, wings, sweet potatoes, and corn bread. Nothing was edible. The fish was too salty. It tasted like someone dumped an entire jar of salt in the batter. Yuck! And everything tasted like it was cooked in old grease and was extremely greasy. The sweet potatoes were disgusting. They tasted like old butter and like they were stored in a refrigerator with no lid. The cornbread was old and dry. Never again save yourself the $$$!

I love a good fish and chips. So, I had high expectations after seeing the reviews. Order came in a timely manner and was correct. Upon opening the box, I was concerned because it was sweating due to the heat, but the fish was still crispy and flaky. However, the fish was not well seasoned and still had the sea water taste to it. Which you'll get if the fish is not marinated, soaked in milk, and/or citrus is not used to cut the taste. It's not my preference in taste, and some people don't mind; however, it's a hit or miss with seafood eatery. But when the fries tasted like fish, too.... this led me to believe the same fryer was used for raw fish and fries. Which is concerning for people with allergies. I'll try again because I love supporting small businesses. I'll just wait a little.

I don’t usually leave reviews but this was my first week of work and I end up having to miss a day of work on a Friday which doesn’t look good for anyone. So I have lost wages and hospital bill. Not worth the time or price to me. The moral is do not eat out on your 90 day probationary period.

This is my first time establishment and I must say that I was pleased with the service. I got the Whiting and chicken wings and both were cooked to Perfection most of all I enjoyed the lemonade iced tea mix that was delicious and made perfectly blended. I recommend Hip Hop Chicken all day long!

If I could give it no stars I would. I was placing my order a guy walks in he walks up to counter interrupts me and shows the guy behind counter he had a pickup order he just walked away from me to get this guys order. Maybe things work differently here but where we are from you wait your turn in line and the employees don't just walk away from you mid order to take care of the customer who walked in front of everyone . Horrible customer service.
