We got the fried chicken wings, buffalo wings, fried fish, and chocolate- chocolate cake. I also got the mashed potatoes and greens. I would give 5 stars to the fried wings! Absolutely delish. The greens were gritty and needed seasoning (trying to get my veggies in). The mashed potatoes were just okay. I didn't taste any gravy though I thought it came with it. The fish was liked and the hush puppies were FIRE!! The chocolate cake was okay, nothing to write home about....
I frequent this Hip Hop location because they are usually fast and good. My last visit was disappointing and I believe it was because they appeared to be close to closing. My order was correct, but all of the food appeared to not be cooked thoroughly and the fries were soggy. I will continue to visit this location but not close to closing time.
I love a good fish and chips. So, I had high expectations after seeing the reviews. Order came in a timely manner and was correct. Upon opening the box, I was concerned because it was sweating due to the heat, but the fish was still crispy and flaky. However, the fish was not well seasoned and still had the sea water taste to it. Which you'll get if the fish is not marinated, soaked in milk, and/or citrus is not used to cut the taste.
