Papa Johns Pizza

Placed an order online after selecting the pickup time. Received an email confirmation that it would be ready much sooner than I wanted. Called the store. Waited 10 minutes. They did not come back to the phone, so I hung up and called right back. Spoke to a lady whom I later found out that it was the store manager regarding my order. She said my order was already made because it did not mention a specific time for customer pickup. I mentioned calling right when I saw that confirmation to update the pickup time. She was very rude during the back and forth. I requested a refund and she hung the phone up on me. This particular location will never earn my business.

I ordered pizza online for my kids and the pizza did.not get delivered for over 2 hours. When I called to follow up the first time I was told that the pizza would be there soon, the driver was pulling up. After 30 more minutes I tried to call back and they did not answer the phone. When the driver finally got there he said it was Friday and they were busy, also said he could not provide the managers name for me to follow up. Terrible customer service. They didn't even apologize for the delay.

Terrible service. I paid for a pepperoni, roma tomatoes, olives, banana peppers and onions. They delivered the pizza with no pepperoni, the most important part of the pizza. I called the manager to get my order corrected and he hung up on me. NEVER AGAIN! They can't ever get an order right and then have the nerve to tell me they are busy and hang up. Calling corporate in the morning.

I ordered $34 in food and told them to bring me change. When the driver got to my house I gave him a $50 and said keep $10 and give me $5 back. He had no change on him and so I had to stand their while he called the store just for his manager to tell him to bring the food back and get change and then bring me the food back. I said no that food will be cold by the time you get back and I said nevermind I will call dominoes. That is a dumb manager if anything they made the mistake they could have left me the food and went back and got change. I will never order from them again. That manager is terrible.

I wasn’t greeted when I walked in. A guy finally asked “are you picking up”? I said yes. He turned back around and started flipping pizza dough. I waited then he finally came over and gave me my pizza.

The pizza was undercooked. I had to put the pizza in the oven when I got home. It was loaded with toppings with very little to “NO” cheese at all on the pizza.
All I tasted was topping and a bunch of nasty pizza sauce.

This Papa John location was doing good at one point. The pizzas were delicious , but now it going back downhill.
I’ll make my own pizzas at home for now on.

This place doesn't even greet you or help you. They ignore you. I waited five minutes and had to say hello with a gentleman and a women working. It's a shame.

We've lived in the area for 3.5 years and we've ordered a number of times from this location. Every time our pizza is great, only a couple of times the sauces have been forgotten, but that's not a big deal. But the service has always been so nice, and the vibe is just busy and friendly. Like tonight, 8/9, we ordered, and all the employees were so nice. A couple of them even went out of their way to say welcome and ask how am I doing. Personally, this location will continue to have my business.

This location always gets my orders correct, including the crust seasoning. I appreciate the dessert of brownies and cinnamon bun not being overcooked as it has in other locations

This is actually the worst Papa John’s I’ve ever had. The pizza is made so thin that the toppings are too heavy for the slices (2 toppings)

As a professional DoorDash driver, I’ve picked up from numerous restaurants across the region, and unfortunately, the experience at Papa John’s in Clinton has been one of the most disappointing.

The entire staff consistently treats delivery drivers with a lack of respect and professionalism, often delaying orders unnecessarily and showing clear disregard for the role we play in ensuring timely customer service. It has become clear that these delays are intentional, and drivers are frequently made to wait far longer than necessary — even when the order is ready.

This isn’t just poor customer service — it’s a repeated pattern of disrespect that affects both the drivers and the customers who rely on timely deliveries.

As a result of this ongoing issue, I have formally submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) regarding the conduct and delivery practices at this location. I strongly urge ownership or upper management to take action to address this culture and ensure all staff are trained to treat delivery drivers with the basic courtesy and professionalism we deserve.

Until there are noticeable improvements, I cannot recommend this location to other drivers or delivery customers.

I’ve been a loyal customer of this Papa John’s for over 35 years, but unfortunately, the quality and service have significantly declined.

Food consistency has become a serious issue. Too often, my pizzas are either overcooked or missing sauce altogether. On Saturday May 31, 2025, around 4 p.m. was another disappointment the pizza was burnt and dry. There was no greeting when I arrived for pickup, no eye contact, and very little professionalism.

Most troubling, there was a man asleep on the bench inside the store, clearly not a customer. The staff saw him and did nothing, which raises concerns about cleanliness and overall store management.

This used to be my go-to pizza spot. Sadly, it no longer lives up to the standards it once had.

Papa John’s, I hope someone from your corporate team takes a hard look at what’s going on at Store #01122 in Clinton, MD. Longtime customers and the community deserve better.
