This Place closed up faster than you can say Donald DUMPSTER. GONE, lock, stock and barrel with no notification to anyone. You ate their Pasta one Saturday, and they were boarded up the following. No message on the door, phone rings and nobody there. Goofy owners. Obviously unappreciative of their long standing patrons and years of dining. So unprofessional. Website and Yelp listing isn't even updated. This place is not open. They high tailed it outta town. Weird location too. If you were from out of town, you'd never see it from York Road other than a sign with a poor logo.

Every other day, i try and get carry out for dinner, so we can keep our restaurants alive during this unprecedented national pandemic. Last Wednesday it was Carlo's, and I wanted to try something different, so I chose the linguini w/ clam sauce. Chocked full of clams w/ the prefect amount of white sauce, it was absolutely ideal. The fettucini was mixed in perfectly and absorbed some of the flavorful sauce. For $21 you can't beat it. It even came w/ a small side salda and bread. Highly recommend.

I’m so disappointed with our first time ordering from Carlo’s Italian Bistro. We ordered the chicken francese and chicken and shrimp rose. I ordered mixed veggies with my chicken francese and the portion was tiny. The garden side salads were a joke. We each got 1 grape tomato, 1 slice of cucumber and a bunch of romane lettuce. The chicken was swimming in a tray of butter (enough that the chicken was covered almost completely) and was soggy. My husbands chicken and shrimp came with 3 small shrimp and chewy chicken. For over $60 this was very disappointing.

Excellent carryout tonight! Chicken Signore , linguini & clam sauce, salad and bread all perfect. Look forward to coming into the restaurant when this quarantine ends.

Wonderful food and you can actually talk to each other in the restaurant. It’s quiet enough for conversation.

My family and I used to go to this restaurant dating back to it's original location. We have been to the new location a few dozen times. I absolutely love the food here with my favorite dishes being a tie between the pizza and the Shrimp Fra Diavolo/Arrabbiata. A close second is the Lasagna. I moved quite a distance away but when I'm close by I always stop in. I love the food so much I have my birthday dinner here and look forward to taking my parents here for special occasions.

The food was excellent. The lobster ravioli with shrimp and crab meat was delicious. The service was good.

I recently had a baby shower for our daughter and son in law at Carlo’s Bistro. There were 57 people attending. The service was first class. As soon as guests arrived they were welcomed and asked what they would like to drink. We had a luncheon served buffet style. The food was delicious and set up so the buffet line moved quickly. I had asked for a table to be set up for a cake we would be providing and an area where our daughter and son in law could open gifts as well as a gift table. Everything was done just as I requested when I arrived. The restaurant owners are very accommodating and easy to work with. During the afternoon I received many compliments from our guests about the staff, food and restaurant as being a wonderful place to have the shower. I could not have been more pleased with everything and everyone had a wonderful time.

The atmosphere and service were good, but the food was lacking in flavor. My husband and I both had the Veal Marsala. The presentation of the dish was terrible! It looked like someone just threw it on the plate. The veal was tender, but it nor the sauce had any flavor. I've been to Italy and Veal Marsala is a traditional dish. If any restaurant is going to sell themselves as a traditional Italian restaurant, then they need to be spot on with traditional meals! The meal also came with a side salad. It was lack luster! The blue cheese dressing was tastless. It didn't have that robust flavor like real blue cheese dressing should have. The parmesan cheese was not freshly grated, it looked and tasted like it was the granular Kraft parmesan cheese you would buy in the store. I'm no chef, and when my own recipe outshines a restaurant's, it not worth paying $25 for the dish!!

It had been a while since we had dined at Carlo's but we were looking for a nice restaurant that would be a good location for a dinner with another couple. We're so glad we selected Carlo's Italian Bistro. I made our reservation through OpenTable and requested a table in a quiet location. I've noticed over time that some restaurants do make an honest effort to honor one's request while others basically ignore it. Our hostess at Carlo's followed through and gave us a great location in a different section of the restaurant - perfect for dinner conversation! Kim, our server, was wonderful. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic and really made an effort to make sure that we enjoyed our dinner. She even had a fresh pot of decaf coffee brewed at the end of our meal just in time for our wonderful desserts. Our foursome ordered a variety of entrees: Shrimp Scampi, Shrimp Toscana, Eggplant Parmigiana, and Veal Saltimbocca. Everyone was very pleased with their selections. My Veal Saltimbocca was perfectly prepared and arrived at the table piping hot. One thing that really impresses at Carlo's is the size of the portions. I had assumed that the penne pasta that accompanied my selection would fit on a side of the plate with the veal. That was not the case - the delicious penne arrived in sufficient quantity to merit its own plate. The desserts here are fabulous! My wife enjoyed her cannoli and, as the resident chocoholic, I absolutely loved the chocolate bomba - a tasty variation on the classic Italian tartuffo. As you can tell, we really enjoyed our dining experience at Carlo's Italian Bistro and will definitely be coming back real soon.

My husband and I are NJ and NY transplants, we have also been to Italy. The food here is good. I wouldnt say authentic, but good American Italian. The service was slow for us last night and we got no refills on drinks. The sauces are all kind of the same is if it is one sauce that gets changed slightly depending on what you order. My husband and I are also used to NJ, everywhere you look are italian restaurants, therefore there is no need to dress up and Italian food is half the price of what it is here in MD compared to NJ, it's not a fancy outing usually. Overall a good American Italian experience but could use some help in some areas.

My wife and I went there about a year ago so the conditions MIGHT have changed. Walking to our table our feet kept sticking to the carpet. It needed a really good cleaning. We went for lunch, and each ordered a sandwich. We were asked "chips or fries"? A simple question right? The food was only average, nothing to write home about. Slipping to the end, we were presented with the check. It looked a little high so I looked a little more carefully. I'll be darned if they didn't charge us for the chips and fries. Yep. they were al la cart. NEVER have I been charged extra for chips and fries that were served with a sandwich.
