First time here and seating is horrible. The pit beef roll was saturated with blood and the meat looked raw and fatty. I lost my appetite and could not even eat it. This place needs a renovation. The booths seats are torn and need replaced. The whole experience was like eating in an old shed and trying to eat some horrible food. I recommend going somewhere else. This is not the place to go for good food!

Amazing. When we go to get put beef anywhere else and say we want rare its like they dont hear us, at Jakes they definitely do. The prices are wonderful too. Very very very happy pregnant lady here lol

Made my first visit last week - Really nice guys, incredibly good food, and also great value. Everything we had was superior to Andy Nelsons or Mission, and I will be back more than likely this week to try the rest of the menu and get more mac and cheese. Special touch on the visit was the cashier gave me a little bouquet of flowers to hand my girlfriend when we walked in and also gave her a choice of piece of candy when we were leaving. Super cool guys and the best meat and mac and cheese I have had around town.
Went today for the first time after reading the great reviews. The reviews are accurate. Everyone is friendly and the food is outstanding. I purchased a pork BBQ sandwich, a turkey sandwich with swiss cheese, and 1/2 rack of ribs. They gave me so much food that I thought I had someone else's order. The pit turkey is my favorite. It was full of flavor and falling out of the bun. Although the parking situation is a bit dicey, don't hesitate to check them out because you won't be disappointed.

Always a sure tastebud pleaser!. Ribs are so good and just fall off the bone. Pit sandwiches are the largest and tastiest. Price point is great. I make sure I stop here every time I'm close. I've even made special trips to fulfill some hankerings. Highly recommend 👌🏻

Ribs with sauce can't be beat. Jake's is the most authentic pit beef shack experience there is. Parking out front was dicey but now there's a parking area out back. Some booth seats inside but most will order takeout. This is one of my go-to spots for bringing friends from out of town.
