Awesome service! From booking to modifying reservation to making us feel so welcome and unhurried at a special birthday dinner. We had a table for 9 in an alcove quiet enough so we could easily talk around the table. The energy in main dining room felt upbeat. The food and drinks were very good! Our waitress was fabulous!

We enjoy going to Sammy's a few times a year. Normally we go with friends but this time it was just two of us. We like the atmosphere and the food. The service was below average this time. Our table had no utensils which we realized when eating the bread. However, the food runners dropped our food off and got one of our sides wrong so they were gone before we could ask. We had to track down a manager who brought us silverware. The runner never returned with our correct side. The server checked on us after we were done eating. We got the side to go and had already boxed our leftovers.

We arrive for our reservation at 7:45 and we're quickly seated. We were side at a table in the back of the restaurant and noticed that we were the only table without a tablecloth. No big deal but just something we noticed our waitress came over quickly, took our drink order and then took a very long time to come back and bring the drinks and take our appetizer order we replaced our appetizer order and before we could place our entrée order she ran away quickly and a long wait in between before she came back to take our entrée order the entrees took forever to come out. We almost got up and paid the check and left. She did come over a couple times telling us that they would be right out and she was sorry about the wait once the food runner brought the food out. The wait was never acknowledged again. She brought the check and we noticed that she knocked $20 off the bill by reducing the price of some of the beverages again never apologizing or acknowledging the fact that the food took a very long time to come out. We come here because the food is great and I've been here multiple times and never had an issue like this before so we will definitely be back. Most of the time Service is excellent.

We have been regulars at Sammy's for years. After several good experiences with the family, I decided to bring a group of out-of-town business guests to dinner there on a quiet Tuesday night. Despite reserving a proper table in the dining room, our party of eight was seated at a high top in the bar. Strike one. Our server -- "Renee" -- took drink orders and put in appetizers, then promptly forgot about us. We had been seated for a full hour before we had the opportunity to order our meal, then sat for another hour without a single Renee sighting. Strike two. By the time main courses were brought out (by another server, two at a time, so everyone waited awkwardly for the remaining dishes as the food on the table became cold), we had been sitting at our high top for two hours, and Renee had become the punchline to each and every joke. Where was she? On a long smoke break? Abducted by aliens? Disappointing, embarrassing experience with business guests. Then Renee added a 20% auto-gratuity for large parties. Strike three. I will not be back.

Renee was an outstanding server - attentive, timely, friendly and knowledgeable. The restaurant was packed and it wasn't easy to carry on a conversation across a larger table, but still fun.

Our experience was great! Our server (I think Amanda?) was superb. She couldn't have been more pleasant and efficient. Our selections of chicken pesto pasta, pasta w/ meatballs and salad were excellent. We look forward to coming back.

My favorite Italian restaurant in the area. As you walk in you can smell the fresh bread and the Italian spices. We love to start with their salad. They are all great. My husband loves the veal picatta. The lobster and crab ravioli are scrumptious. The lasagna is a must. We also love the mussels and love to dip their amazing bread in the broth. They make this unbelievable dipping sauce for the bread that the should bottle and sell. I can make a meal out of it. Desserts are to die for. The service is always great. Waiters are friendly and very helpful. Will be back soon!

Our food was not hot. The wait staff wasn't attentive. We had to ask another staff member for refills. This is not the norm. Usually our exoerience here is top tier. We have had birthday celebrations and girls day here. This time was very disappointing. After we told our waitress about our experience she didn't even apologize. She said she had a large party she is working with. We still tipped her, but none of us were happy.
