The food is okay. Please note that just because their name is Southern Kitchen, they are not so southern. I was hoping to get shrimp and grits but they no longer serve this.
We came here for a late lunch and both got salads. I got a garden salad and my boyfriend got a Greek salad, both salads were the same. Nothing on the salad was fresh; lettuce was wilted and mine had a discolored hard boiled egg on it. We both had grilled chicken on our salads and that was fine.
Staff could not have been nicer. Excellent customer service. Enjoyed the crab pretzel. The crab dip topped pretzel was delicious and has a nice balance of flavor.
great food and reasonably priced
Took my partner to this restaurant for lunch. Stood at stand for about four minutes. Older white gentleman walks in after us and receives greeting. The older white gentleman informed the employee that we were there first. Only received greeting after he acknowledge that the people standing in front of him we’re already in the facility. We did not even provide them an opportunity to receive to receive our funds, not sure how the food quality is but the service was poor.
Dinner for party of 12 was very good. Everyone had something different from the menu and enjoyed their selection. Service was friendly and very accommodating. It’s a do-over. ?
Server was very pleasant. Food not so much.
I understand that they had just reopened and are struggling. They Need to change the online menu I was drawed in by the menu and was quickly disappointed in what the menu actually was.the grilled octopus was delicious yet the chicken was undercooked and the other dishes were fine nothing super special overall could be better.
What happened to this restaurant? We ordered ribs but they were hard as a rock. Couldn't get a knife into the meat. The place was practically empty but the waiter was overwhelmed and untrained. The desserts were in plastic containers. The mashed potatoes were good, though. We had to ask for everything. Second worst restaurant experience ever.
The food was below average at best. The pork ribs were hard and lacked flavor, the knife wouldn’t cut through them. Macaroni and cheese looked and tasted like blue box craft from the store. If your a “southern” style restaurant I would expect frying food would be your speciality but no the egg rolls and calamari we’re still gooey and soft. Our waiter tried extremely hard but was untrained and seemed overwhelmed with just two tables.

My friend and I went for lunch. Had clams Casino and they were awful, really tough and not like any I've ever had before. Had shrimp salad sandwich and bread was really soggy and not appealing at all. It tasted ok. My friend ordered FF and there were about 10 on the plate. She said her sandwich was ok.Bill was 50.00 and wasn't a good experience and def won't be going back!!!
Service was great! Rachel was personable and patient. I had the 6oz crab cake and mashed potatoes. Everything was good. Mashed potatoes were amazing. The highlight was the peach cobbler!!! Everything was well seasoned. Clean atmosphere as well.
I was so disappointed. I had read the menu and was so excited, it is just what my fiancé and I love but when we got there. It took some time to be greeted, which seemed odd as there was only one other table of customers in the place. The table where we were seated was dirty. The server was having lunch so it took some time to get waited on. She was a good server. We ordered Cream of crab soup and it was adequate. My fiancé ordered the spicy chicken sandwich, which looked amazing and tasted very good. His fries were not hot and under seasoned. I ordered seafood Alfredo. The amount of seafood was great. But this was not Alfredo. It was in a sauce with mushrooms that looked like dirty dish water with Italian seasonings. The worst part is that exactly how it tasted. I refuse to send food back . I will fix this here at home. I must also mention the garlic bread. They give you plenty but it was hard as a rock and over cooked. I am hoping they were just having an off day, but I don’t think we will be going back
Great new addition to the locals. Opened about a week under new management. Menu is completely different from what's listed on Google so be aware. After contemplating what to order, I decided to get "Southern Kitchen burger" and peach cobbler as recommended by extremely helpful waitress. It's an open face burger on white bread with either mashed potatoes or fries drenched in delicious gravy.I think it had really good potential to be a delicious meal but unfortunately this night it got ruined by strong bitter burnt taste of the grill. Burger didn't look burnt at all so only think I can think of is whatever was left on the grill got stuck on the burger causing the strong bitterness. Perhaps, proper cleaning could have avoided this small issue. On the brighter side, peach cobbler tasted wonderful!I'm definitely willing to try again as it is newly opened (again) establishment and there are variety selections that interested my taste buds. Until next time~
The service and atmosphere was nice! The portion to price ratio for the fried calamari was just a bit unsatisfactory for what I paid for. It was small but pretty tasty. I will probably be back to try something else.
