Eastern Gourmet 海纳百川

Since Eastern Gourmet has opened it has become our go-to for great Chinese takeout. We have ordered an extensive amount of the menu and there aren't any dishes that haven't blown us away. The food is amazing, the service is attentive, and the prices are quite reasonable for the quality and portion sizes.

My niece goes here often since she's on UMD's campus everyday. Tonight, she got carryout and came to see me! We had the scallion pancakes with duck and soup dumplings. Also had the Fuzhou style dry noodles and jelly noodles in chili sauce.

The scallion pancakes with duck are delish! I asked that next time she brings food from Eastern Gourmet over to bring several orders of this! Soup dumplings were still really tasty and juicy despite the hour to drive to my place. I bet these are really yummy hot while dining in.

The jelly noodles in chili sauce were very spicy. Didn't realize how spicy it was until after I had taken a huge bite. These weren't my favorite. The Fuzhou style dry noodles were okay. Not a lot of flavor. Ended up mixing it with the sauce from the jelly noodles to make it a little bit tastier.

Will eventually make the trip out to College Park to dine in. There's lots of other things on the menu I want to try.

Food was excellent and authentic. We ordered the spicy Mala pot, Mapo Tofu, diced pepper chicken Dan Dan noodles, Green Pepper rice noodles.

The spices brought out the great flavor of the protein of each dish.

Great food, authentic Shichun cruise, nice venue. Was going to give five stars, but the service needs improvement. The lady serving us was on the phone using earbuds and kept talking while servicing.
