I haven’t been home to DC area in about 8 years and my first stop was to get some chicken wings with mambo sauce and fries. We decided to try Eddie’s since it was nearby where we were staying! The food came out perfect! My family and I was very pleased! Next time we visit DC area from Oklahoma, we will definitely stop by to Eddies to grab some food! No complaints! My wife and daughter was very satisfied with everything as well! Shrimp and fried rice was good too!
Super good sweet and sour chicken.
Americanized Chinese Cuisine isn’t personally my favorite. It’s good when it’s needed most, or when we are not cooking as a family. I this was my first eating spot in Maryland for my short trip in D.C. Wow, I was just blown away.
To get started, the food came out actually hot and fresh. I decided to order, rice, chicken lo mein with other included vegetables. It was in a really good portion sized container. I ate the entire thing, that’s how good it really was. I noticed that, they really care about how their food comes out to their customers. Like mentioned, what made it best was how it was just fresh.
The service was great as well, I could tell they were quite busy so nothing so special, but they were very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere of the restaurant was good. They have limited seating however, mainly a place for takeout. Place was somewhat clean, but honestly, doesn’t bother me.
Overall, this restaurant is best just to eat and go. However, their food was an absolute killer. If I ever come back to D.C for a weekend trip, I’m stopping here for a quick stop to eat again.
I'm surprised by the quality! I've been looking for a Chinese spot similar to one of my favorites when I lived in NJ. Was super happy to find this spot. Their General Tso's chicken is one of my favorites. The noodles and spicy pork are good, too.
Been going here for years. I remember when they first opened up when Shen Yang closed. I appreciate Eddies cafe being part of our community. Always great service, great food and always served with a smile. May God bless them always
Absolutely disgusting, awful food. Ordered the beef, shrimp chicken combo. Chicken was horrible chewy and tasted old, the food itself gave a weird odor. In some parts it tasted like dirty mop water. I threw it away. I’m not sure how people can give this over one star. I absolutely would NOT recommend.

So my parents visited me from China last month and entered this place out of curiosity one day, since it is very close to our place. The staff told my parents that the food they serve here is for Americans. I kind of like their honesty :)
I've been getting takeout here somewhat regularly for almost 10 years I think. The people that run the place are always friendly. Highly recommend the chicken & broccoli (with white rice), shrimp fried rice, or lo mein. Note that the fried rice is heavier on the onions and lighter on the peas/sprouts compared to other places, which I prefer. It ain't fancy but fancy is overrated and this hits the spot.
The food is disgusting!!!?? It's old food they had for days reheated. I just got chicken ? wings and fries ?. The Chicken and fries looked and tasted if they had been reheated several times before they'd pass off to me 4 wings and fries around $11.00 and two spring roll at $2.20 a piece. It wasn't edible they had sold me trash and that exactly were it went.? ? I was disappointed I had looking for decent carry for a while and still haven't find one in my area. I will NEVER EVER go there again in life.???

We ordered last night and I was very disappointed with the Kung Pao Chicken. It comes with a very very thick sauce, almost like barbecue consistency and similar to a general tao's dish. One of my favorite parts of a good Kung pao chicken is the dried red chilis and their dish has NONE. How? Not sure. I even specified in the instructions but it seems to me that the sauce is canned and some of their ingredients too, like the mushrooms. Not a fan of food like this. The steamed pork dumplings were good but again, not positive they are fresh.
