one of the best stores in the area

What can I say? Any store that knows you’re going to burn more calories than a gym session wandering the aisles and rewards you with cheap meatballs, potatoes, mac & cheese, lingonberry sauce, and free member coffee is doing something right. I always look forward to grabbing food at the IKEA restaurant before I go “just to look” and somehow end up with a Kallax or some random kitchen gadget I never knew I needed… and may or may not ever use (or remember what it’s for) once I get it home

I stopped by since they are offering free breakfast for furloughed government employees. It was very nice and simple to redeem. You simply show your IKEA family membership card (also accessible in their app if you don't have your physical card) and your government ID. A cup of coffee or tea is also free with your IKEA family membership. Truly appreciate IKEA for their contribution during this time.
Side note, the restaurant opens before the store. Online the time may show certain time for the restaurant, but it may not be accurate. Online reported that the restaurant opened at 9:30am, but it actually opened at 10:30am. No complaints, just something to keep in mind when planning your trip.

What can I say about IKEA Restaurant? When you are shopping and want a little treat to top off your visit to IKEA, stop by the restaurant on the second floor or the quick shop on the first floor. Whether you want a hearty meal or just a snack, they have treats to satisfy. My new favorite is the hot dogs (offered in meat-, plant based-, and vegan options) with Fried Onions! OMG! Such a surprise snack. And the entire staff in both restaurants are sweet and courteous, which is refreshing. They offer everything from frozen yogurt cones and cinnamon rolls, to Swedish Meatballs, Macaroni and Cheese, mashed potatoes and Chicken Tenders and more. If you have kids, even more fun! Take the family for a wallet-friendly, delicious break from the everyday fast food and convenience store stops. Check out IKEA Restaurant.

Price has gone up so much and the taste has not. You used to go and get a mediocre lunch for cheap. I left feeling i got a nasty meal for a lot. Disappointing

Frozen section is always well stocked.
It's buffet style, but they do offer vegan/vegetarian options. The staff was patient and helpful, and the view from the cafeteria relaxing. The food's not bad at all!

Surprisingly tasty and budget-friendly! The Swedish meatballs are a must, and there are great plant-based options too. Perfect spot for a quick, comforting meal after shopping. Just be ready to hunt for a table during peak hours.
