Never had a bad meal. If you eat in for lunch they give you some fried dough with honey and powdered sugar on top. Service is quick and friendly. The cheesesteak hoagies are very good.

7/31/2025 I'm writing this review after having my first experience. The cashier was very kind, letting me know the options and the most popular options. I had ordered the gyros chicken pita. This restaurant does live up to its reviews and hype, in all honesty. This is a place I'd come to again. Delicious meals are filling, and I like how they have a variety of meats and dishes. Food was affordable, too. Definitely try out their stuff!!! The person I was with at the time also loved his own order so yeaaa.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Just left from marathon deli in college park. I ordered 2 ,12 (24) piece nuggets and French fries- I rcvd a total of 16 nuggets- i paid $40.00 for 16 over cooked, freezer burned nasty nuggets. I do not recommend.

I’m leaving a review because not only did they answer the phone for me starving and all but it is 2:30 AM in the morning and they closed at 1 am in the morning and was polite and gracious enough to let me know they had closed an hour and a half before. I’ve been to this establishment before and the food has always been nice.

Ordered marathon fries while being the only person in the place. Despite being the only one, the food took 15 minutes. I attached a photo of what I got. Not only did I not get that many fries (I was splitting it with a friend), but they were burnt and stale. Ridiculous that this costs $8.

We were in town for GNX TOUR . Arrived late 6/17 at the Hampton Inn(great hotel) . We looked on Door dash for something to eat. There weren’t many options but Marathon Deli had a google 4.5 rating so we decided on that.we ordered Gyros, fries and gyro fries . Food arrived and I took a bite and swore I had ribs with bones. It scratched the back of my throat. I couldn’t believe how hard and dried the chicken was! Who serves food like that? Door dash only gave me a partial refund! I should have lied and said I didn’t receive it so I could have received a full refund. Almost 50 bucks! Please don’t let these reviews fool you. People in that area must have awful taste! I don’t care what time of night it is. Just cancel the order if you can’t provide fresh food. If you are out of town and desperate for food DO NOT ORDER HERE! You will think about this review and regret it. These photos can’t really show you how awful that chicken was. You may have to zoom in and if you had old stale hard chicken you’ll know exactly. This like overcooked ribs pork chop texture.

I do not understand why this place is reviewed so well. There were huge ants, the meatball sandwich was awful and barely had any meatballs (and they were sliced up?), there was no basil on the chicken parmesan sandwich like was in the picture (and I specifically requested), and 1/4 of the chicken was just a hard, fried hunk of batter with absolutely no meat in it. The fries were decent, but so are they basically everywhere else. The food also took FOREVER to get.

We are visiting UMD and happened to find Marathon Deli on the map. While the atmosphere was more eclectic than we were used to, the amazing food made up for it! The Gyro platters were huge and very flavorful. Service was great and we are all wishing our trip was long enough to justify another visit before we head home!
