MeatUp Korean BBQ & Bar

Food was pretty bland We were told no menus other than online but then I saw a table next to us with menus???!!! Pineapple steak was a winner flavor wise but way too fatty and grisselly. . Most of the foods on the salad bar were cold and too much breading. Most of the Vegtables were only available if you did the hotpot. I like grilled veggies but not allowed here unless I wanted to pay for the hotpot.??? Fried shrimp, egg rolls, both cold & doughy, they have salad but no dressing. Lots of sauces but not labeled well. They limit how much you can order, Only 5 proteins we had 5 people, after I asked for the manager he upped it to 8, you can order more when they finally come back, then you have to wait and wait and wait for them to come around to order more. And there’s a time limit. I lived in Sourh East Asia for 15 years my wife and kids were all born there. We have eaten at literally hundreds of authentic BBQ - Hotpot restaurants this is definitely not one of them. Here’s the best part, They “ACCIDENTALLY ” added an extra person to my bill. Then suprise suprise they added a hefty tip for there lack of service. I went to the front counter and they said they would get the manager. He wouldn’t come out but sent a girl instead who was rude and abrupt when I asked where they said they added tips as there were no signs. Said it was on the menu on the web???!!! Basically said tuff and walked away. Much better places out there.

The best Korean BBQ in the area as far as I am concerned!! The Cyberpunk/Blade Runner feel is the best I have seen in a while!!!🤖🤖

I’ve been to this place twice, and it’s hands down the best all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ in Maryland. The quality of the meat is impressive and exceeded my expectations.

Probably one of the best restaurants I've eaten in a long time. Staff is outstanding. All you can eat is a really good value! Atmosphere is bar like but it's all good! A group of four people is a very good experience! Come hungry!

The food was good; however, the guy serving us—a Hispanic man with a black beard—did not seem to want to do his job. I went there for dinner with my girlfriend, and everything seemed well as we enjoyed the first round of meat. However, things went downhill once we finished that round. Our server didn’t come around at all, except to turn off my grill and then leave. I wanted to order, but he just kind of ignored me.

This went on for 30 minutes until he finally approached me and asked if I was ready for the check. That got me visibly upset, as not only had he ignored me the entire time, but he didn’t even know what round I was on—just one round! He had the audacity to ask if I wanted the check.

Needless to say, while the food was good, the service was absolutely horrible. They weren't even busy or overwhelmed; I saw him chatting with a coworker, and the place was visibly empty. If you go here and end up with him as your server, please request someone else.

I recently visited MeatUp, and while the food was ultimately delicious—full of flavor and expertly prepared—the service left much to be desired. Our server seemed trash(Hispanic dude with beard), leading to long wait times. It was frustrating, especially since the food was so good. I hope they can delve into improving their service because the kitchen clearly knows what they're doing! We felt very neglected by our server. The only good service comes from a female waitress ngl.

The scallion pancake was burnt and the server knew it and still tried to serve it to us. We asked the chef if he could redo it but he said no. Our bento boxes were tasty. The drinks were watered down.

They put up happy hour signs after we'd arrived but the server hadn't told us it was happy hour. There are better places with better service and better Korean food in the area. Fire pan would never!!

Bathrooms were dirtier than what I'm used to at Korean restaurants and the place wasn't even busy. The whole place looked dark to hide the fact that it didn't seem very clean.

We had a great time dining at meatup. The service was wonderful, our waiter, Catherine, was very prompt and the food was very good. The kpop playing on the tvs also gave the restaurant a cool atmosphere.

Delicious food! We went during happy hour, so shots were $3. That was a plus. I prefer the waitress ask me before flipping my food over, and drinks weren't strong enough.

This Place hits the spot every time I go the food is amazing and theres this lemon pineapple drink I find irresistible. They also have great sides I love the noodles & veggies

This is a good korean bbq buffet. I love that you can get your own appetizers on the buffet line, and you just order your meats from the server. The food was pretty good and the price point was not bad either. Definitely do recommend if you are ever in the College Park area.
