Look, a $14 healthy bowl doesn’t get you 5 stars. While the Astra Bowl was good and nutritious and I felt good after eating it, $14 won’t do 5 stars. Roots is a place that I’ve always wanted to go to because it’s in a nice part of campus and it has very high ratings. I finally got to go and I did enjoy it. While I wish the seasoning of the chicken stood out a bit more, it was still a good and high quality bowl. If you are fine paying $14, which is what you have to pay at many other restaurants anyways, I highly recommend Roots!

Everything about this place was awesome. When you walk in the place is clean and inviting. The service was A1. They acknowledge you right away regardless of what they’re doing at the moment. They offer helpful suggestion, very kind and respectful of others. The food was really good. Have to give this place its 10s. I would suggest smaller shreds of cheese option for the kids bowl.
Vegetarian options: They have so many options that you can build a vegetarian bowl no problem.
Kid-friendliness: Offering child sized bowl is awesome!

This place is so good it’s insane. Customer service is always awesome too, everyone is so friendly. Very generous portions and very fairly priced. Absolutely delicious too. My only complaint is that there is not one closer to me. Please open more locations I need this in my life. This place would make a killing in Columbia. Down with Chipotle and their nasty over priced bowls

Customer service was amazing. I created my own bowl with bbq tofu, and up to 5 toppings of my choice were allowed without an additional charge. It was filling, but I didn't feel heavy after eating the entire bowl ?. The pesto vinaigrette and basil balsamic dressings were refreshing!

I was visiting from New York and realized how much I was missing out once I tried out Roots - Way ahead of Sweetgreen and other Salad bowl places in terms of quality, taste and quantity - The best thing was their customer service, especially the gentleman today evening who went out of his way to redo our order due to a misunderstanding and also provided extras. Will keep coming back !
Food wasn’t amazing. There are better grain bowls out there. I only went for the free bowl. The chicken was dry and overcooked(at least the char wasn’t bad). The rice, beans, corn, cheese, kale, pita, and sauce were decent. The pic is half eaten lol.
