Tacos a la Madre - College Park

Low key Mexican spot with vegetarian and vegan options. The soyrizo was very tasty, as was the Nopales tacos. Both had no cheese, so they were vegan. I also got chips and salsa, but the salsa was more like a thin taco sauce. Not sure if that was a mistake, or not.
There is ample seating and the service was fast even though they seemed busy on the day I went.

If could keave zero stars i would. Ordered 10 tacos and was sent 3 sauces. 1 red 2 green. Ordered extra beef tinga taco and was sent chicken without any topping. The food looks dry and old. Yall have gone down hill hard. But the prices are going up for this? This used to be my favorite spot but not anymore. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE

The service was great and staff were friendly, but the food didn’t quite meet my expectations. The carne asada and al pastor tacos were lacking flavor, and the chicken tacos were dry. I expected more given the 4.6 rating.

Totally flavorful and authentic.
They make delicious cold plant drinks. The flan is large enough for two people.

First time here, and it was super busy when we came in which honestly felt like a good sign. We ordered to dine in, and the guy at the register was really friendly. What threw me off at first was seeing multiple people get their food before me. I guess the cashier noticed the look on my face, because he came over to reassure me that my order was on the way. He explained it was just taking a little longer since I ordered carne asada fries, birria queso tacos, and a baked potato.

That small interaction made all the difference. Once I realized the food coming out before mine was just tacos and phone orders, I felt better. And when my food finally arrived worth the wait. Perception is reality, and that one comment turned it around for me.

I am writing this review as I stand here while the couple that came in 5 mins after us has already gotten their food and finished eating. We are still here standing waiting for our order. We had the same order as that couple. Is this a racial thing or they completely forgot our order. Either way it’s really sad to be treated like that when we have supported the business from the first day they opened that location in college park. We are not coming back here again. We don’t spend money where we are not wanted or welcomed.
