The best fried chicken sandwich I've ever had. Great service from the bartender with glasses.

Hard pass Pay with card, add 20%, which is not disclosed when you order. Pay with cash they automatically round up to the next dollar. I don't mind tipping, AT ALL. But when I'm taxed additionally out the gate it's a deal breaker. Especially at a college dive bar. This place will only stay open as they serve underage freshman.

I went into the bar to order 4 tequila sodas and when I got the bill it was 172$. I asked for Don Julio and they automatically assumed I wanted Don Julio 1942

Turf is such a fun vibe and has a great staff. They make everyone feel like family and genuinely remember all their regulars. A great place to go when you want a bite to eat during the day or a fun night out.

Very racist owner.. have to talk to the university about this, as the owner is very nasty and disrespectful. On top of all of that, one of my friends was denied entry to the bar after paying thru LineLeap for unknown reasons. Already have seen multiple complaints about the racism happening and will be starting a Class Action Lawsuit.

I recently had the misfortune of visiting a bar in College Park, and I was deeply disappointed by the evident racial bias displayed. A university town should represent the ideals of inclusivity, respect, and unity. Instead, this establishment seems to be stuck in a regrettable past. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this place to anyone who values equality and respect for all individuals. The community, and especially our students, deserve better.

“Selective Vision” at Terrapin’s Turf in College ParkHey everyone, so I stumbled upon this fun game at Terrapin’s Turf in College Park – it’s called “Guess Why You’re Being Ignored.” Spoiler alert: I think I cracked the code. Might’ve had something to do with my “ethnic charm”.There I was for 15 minutes, trying every trick in the book to grab the bartender’s attention. Waving, jazz hands, contemplating semaphore flags. Everyone got served; I swear even a potted plant would’ve had better luck!Is it a new theme they’re trying out? “Racist Retro Nights”? Because, you know, nothing says ‘good times’ like feeling you’ve time-traveled to a less enlightened era.Thinking of dropping by? Maybe take a crowd and make a game out of it. First one to get a drink wins! And if you’re from a diverse background, may the odds be ever in your favor! ??

It was my first time to this place. The bartender was racist. Stayed for 20 minutes in total (even after paying cover, cause it was so bad). Won’t bother coming back here, it was a waste of time.

Terrapins Turf is a great establishment! They have the best food, music, and beverages. 10/10 would highly recommend!
If only I could give zero stars. Walking inside it’s dark, no music, depressing. There’s no employees in sight aside from a hostess I think, and she tells me she needs to “go find” the bartender.. why isn’t she behind the bar? Bartender finally comes so I sit down at the bar to order. The bar itself is covered in a thick layer of dust as if it hadn’t been used in years. The bartender then stares at my ID and says it’s expired (it was not) it was almost like she was looking for any reason to not have to do her job and make a drink. I came back in for one more and it was like I had asked them for one of their kidneys lol very uncomfortable, cornerstone across the street is much friendlier. ALSO their website says $3 rail drinks on saturdays but my bill was $11 for two. Didn’t bother arguing just left asap.

This is by far the worst bar at UMD that I’ve ever went too. First of all they denied my ID claiming it was fake. But then proceeded to let some girl in who was using her friends ID. Then another night they let me in, cool. but their drinks were soooooo weak. Tasted almost watered down. Don’t go to this place, save your money. Their bathrooms are almost always filled about a inch high with water (???) and the place is just so dark. Bentleys is the place to go and be at. In regards of vibes, drinks, and atmosphere

Overcharged covers. Racist owners and security. Watered down alcohol and rude staff. Kicking people out because the owner is on a power trip.
