Tokoa Cheesesteaks

The portions I received didn’t feel worth the $20 price tag. My cheesesteak was on the dry side, with minimal seasoning and very light toppings (just a thin tomato slice, onion, and lettuce). Honestly, I thought my order might’ve been wrong at first.

When I went, it was a quiet Sunday around 4PM and there was only one worker in the shop — maybe that affected the experience.

I’m skeptical of the perfect five-star reviews because my visit was disappointing. That said, I know small businesses work hard, and I’d be open to giving them another shot down the road.

The steak and cheese here it is very good they give you a lot of meat. It is good out of 10. I gave it an 6.9 This is definitely a place you wanna get a steak and cheese from in Maryland.!!!!! They have fell off!!!

Tokoa Cheesesteak is by far nothing less than amazing. They don’t play when it comes to quality. The sandwich was juicy and full of flavor I have no complaints at all!!! Just go see for yourself

Steak n cheese(2.5/5)was cool.It did not match the price though…CHANGE THE BREAD,& maybe we’d be talking about something,just saying! But atmosphere was really clean(A)…And the service was nice(B).

Good amount of meat on the TK Cheesesteak. Well seasoned and very good. Good tasting fries as well. A bit pricey. My buddy had some of the tacos and he said they were very good as well.

Pathetic experience. I drove all the way into College Park on a Thursday evening to try this restaurant's offerings. I arrived at 7:00 p.m., an hour before closing. It was impossible to find parking for the location. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was depressing. The lighting was non-existent, and the place smelled off. While the website featured a birra cheese steak and mangonada, these items were not available. The guy behind the register was not able to express himself in English, but I basically got the gist that they did not have what I was asking for. I walked out without ordering anything.

Got the Philly cheesesteak and taquitos. For the cheesesteak, the taste was good but portion was small for the price, not a good value. The taquitos filling was also a bit dry.

We tried this restaurant for the first time and was not happy at all the cheesesteaks were dry and lacking flavor, the bread that they use is not for cheesesteaks at all. It was disappointing, especially since I've heard good things about this place. I hope they can improve this dish because the rest of the menu looks promising."

I have to say, I am very disappointed in the direction taken by Tokoa. My very first visit was great, as this place was still living up to the hype of social media influencers. I've seen the cheese steaks go from an enormous 14 to 16 inch sub (pause) packed with steak, costing about $23 after tax, to an 8 inch sub going for $15. Now they have the audacity of serving a 6 inch sub with a mediocre amount of cheese steak for $15!!! The quantity and quality of the food significantly decreased. Franky, it's a shame that things got this point. This is my last time going to this place, especially with so many options in the area.

Chicken sub was very light on the meat. Wasn't as seasoned . The birria sub was very good. After waiting for months to go... disappointed but one sub was better then the other. The price didn't match what I got. Pineapple lemonade was good. Also quick service.
