Akira Ramen & Izakaya

Food is awesome. Taste great bought a good flavor. I would recommend this.

This is our go-to place whenever we think of something hot and good to eat and if we want noodles.
Service is excellent. It is a pretty popular restaurant especially on Friday nights. We try to go either early or late and we can be lucky to get a table quickly. The booths are pretty popular so it would be a longer wait to get that.
All servers are friendly and nice. They make you feel welcome and are very attentive to your needs. We often get Karaage as appetizer. They make it really well and it comes to you hot so be careful. It is definitely freshly made. For the main dish, we always get the Akira Volcano Ramen. It always hits the spot!

Wife and I had our early dinner at the Columbia location. The food was excellent and we thought the price reasonable for an overall very good deal. Our server, Jerald, was very personable, friendly and helpful. His recommendations were spot on. The conversations were engaging and made us both feel at home. Truly enjoyed the visit and look forward to the next time.

They were good when they first opened. Lately, quality has gone downhill.

food was great but service wasn't great. Had to wait 10-15 mins when about to pay, server just gave me bill and left without talk. Lucky one of the server notice when we're waited.

The ambience of the restaurant was quite nice! Although, it was bustling on an evening the food came out fast. I have no complaints! I had an amazing and kind server, Josh. I recommend him- he was considerate and was very willing. I might even ask for him next time!

We went in and ordered a chashu bun and the shrimp tempura ramen. The portion size for the ramen was very small. I didn't eat anything for the rest of the night and three hours later I was throwing up really badly. I got food poisoning from the restaurant

Service is great but everything else is mediocre for the price.

Miso soup tasted watered down and tasted of just cheap instant powder you can get at a grocery store.

First time having Japanese food, and it was DELICIOUS. The waiters are super sweet, the place is beautiful, and in the entrance, there is little claw machines with small anime and Japanese toys. The food was hot and fresh, and they gave PLENTY. The drinks were great. I got oolong tea. Not the kind with all of the sweeteners and stuff. Its traditional oolong. For food, I got oyako Don, and my friend got ramen, it was the tonkotsu ramen i think. Additionally, they had desserts. They had cheesecake, icecream mochi, taiyaki, and these matcha things (i forgot what they were). I got cheesecake. It also came with matcha mochi! Just a warning though, the cheesecake was tiny. However, the quality was immaculate. it was probably the best cheesecake I've ever had. I am totally coming here again.
