Brown stew chicken easily taste like bourbon chicken. I’ve had plenty of brown stew chicken in my 25 years of life. It tasted NOTHING like traditional brown stew chicken. Rice and peas taste very generic and lacking flavor. I got the shrimp and chicken jerk Mac and cheese as an extra side and even that disappointed. I don’t know what y’all are doing in there but where are the chefs from? I know now the LAST spot I need to be going to get Caribbean food is this place. I can’t believe how this brown stew chicken taste like Chinese bourbon chicken. I’m PISSED!!!!

The owner is very friendly and professional. Their food is soooo good & you can tell that they make their food with care & love. Very generous restaurant- owner says they use some of the money to donate their services to the community ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Please support their business 👏 🙏 👍🏻

This place is a solid 4 out of 5 stars for me. The food has bold, satisfying flavors you can tell it’s made with care. Oh and did I mention that it’s halal?! The curry chicken has been my favorite so far super yummy especially paired with the Mac and cheese. That Mac and cheese is one of the best I’ve tried, it’s sooo flavorful and sometimes they even add a little sauce from the stews which take it to another level. I’m looking forward to trying more from the menu.
One thing I’ve noticed after a few visits is that the food can be pretty salty. I usually like well seasoned food, but sometimes the salt takes over. If they eased up on it a little, I think the flavors would shine even more. With just a little tweak to the salt, this spot could easily be five stars.

I live in Virginia, but every time I’m in Maryland, I have to stop here.. it’s a must! My absolute favorite is the mac and cheese. I’ve tried it at plenty of places, but theirs? Top-tier. Creamy, flavorful, and just downright delicious; a foodie’s dream! Between the friendly staff, great service, and mouthwatering food, you really can’t go wrong stopping in. Highly recommend! I owe you all a picture next time lol I usually start eating in the car .

This my 4 time here. Keep coming back. Food is delicious and i love jerk chicken.And that's the only reason why I come back with a jerk chicken and the jerk mac is amazing. I definitely already recommend it to my friends and family and newly married.And my husband loves the food as well. I Surprise him and order the jerk goat and he loved it.

The food did not taste good AT ALL. The jerk chicken tasted like the sauce came from the bottle. I'll never go back. Would NOT recommend. I was warned before going and tried anyway. I wish I had listened. I'll never get my money back.

My first experience was during the Caribbean Festival at Merriweather District and yes it was delightful. So this is the first time into the restaurant and I was greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. What else do you need? Excellently seasoned food that is competitively priced with generous portions.
How I didn’t know that they have been here for 8 years and not discovered them is beyond me!!
