“Great spot with great people. Their draft beer selection is good for the area and they keep a nice, well-balanced variety on tap (I think 14 usually on tap). Don't find a draft you like? They also have a good variety of craft/domestic beers in their fridge. Not huge liquor people, so can't speak too much to cocktails...other than the margarita from Carley. That is excellent if you like refreshing and fresh margaritas! We are not always appetizer people, but every time we come, we must get the perogies. As someone who spent 5 years of my adult life in Pittsburgh, these are a nice sense of nostalgia to my Pitt days. Always piping hot and the perfectly cooked onions take it over the top. We have tried many of the sandwiches and entrees in our multiple visits and have yet to be disappointed. Husband's favorite is the honey siracha chicken bowl and my favorite is the quesadilla or grilled cheese or any special item. The hometown, local bar vibes are awesome and we'd come back to have a drink at the bar for that, but the consistently delicious (and hot) food brings us back and made me write a review for the first time (I think ever). Been going here for years. Love that they have live music. We went there last night with friends and thoroughly enjoyed the band and a nightcap. The waitstaff is always friendly and competent.

MANY Years ago friends gave me a bridal shower in their back room. 7 years ago, the same pals hosted my daughter’s baby shower at Bare Bones. The private party area in the back is neat and large. Check it out.“

“Out of the way location, actually somewhat hard to find even for Google maps. The layout is kind of a separate bar and food truck format, which is fine. Chique industrial vibe. Every single person I encountered that worked there was more than awesome, they stood out above everything. The food... My wife got the Chicken strips, I got the 75 day dry aged burger, upgraded to o truffle fries. Their fries are good but very pungent with garlic. We actually took a lot of them home and recooked them in our air fryer and both agreed they were far better. The chicken strips were soft, moist, crispy batter, but the extra batter flavor was just hard to place, we agreed that it tasted like it was trying to be fancy. Same with the burger. The burger I ordered was medium, I'd say it was closer to medium rare / rare which I'm fine with, but when you're buying a $30 burger... I personally found the burger to be extremely unique and really liked it. My wife could have passed on the bay leaf blend. I really liked the unique flavors. It's not a large burger and not something I'd get again but I did enjoy it. Oh, their beer is awesome on every level so there's that!“
