The food is fantastic. I’ve tried seven different items and each one has been superb. Also, super friendly staff and the vibe is fantastic. Highly recommended.

One of the best meals I've had in Columbia! Went there today for lunch and had the pernil with cabbage and rice and peas...everything was cooked perfectly and well-seasoned. The pork was melt in your mouth and the green sauce on it with marinated onions was SO GOOD.

The complimentary Cuban hot chocolate served at the end of the meal was also delicious and a nice treat. 10/10 recommend and can't wait to go back.

Celia’s Cuban Cuisine – Hickory Ridge Village

If you’re looking for flavorful, comforting, and delicious Cuban-inspired food in Howard County, Celia’s Cuban Cuisine is the place to go! From the first bite of their beef empanadas to the last spoonful of pigeon peas and rice with picadillo, every dish is full of flavor and love.

My absolute favorite is their oxtail special on Friday nights — tender, rich, and perfectly seasoned. I also love the yucca, pollo guisado, and ropa vieja — all so satisfying and tasty. While the dishes have their own unique twist on traditional Cuban cuisine, they’re still absolutely delicious and clearly made with care.

I recently used Celia’s to cater a Hispanic Heritage Month celebration for my office, and everyone raved about how amazing the food was. Chef Ed and Mimi go above and beyond with their customer service — they make you feel like part of the family from the moment you walk in.

I highly recommend Celia’s Cuban Cuisine if you’re craving a good, authentic Hispanic meal right here in Howard County. You won’t be disappointed!

The food was exquisite! The empanadas were so good! Big, too. The chicken stew, the chicken fell right off the bone. The tacos were so filling, and the side portions were big portions! But the Mojitos, absolutely amazing. There were like 10 different flavors and we had four of them. Each one got better. Highly recommend this place.

Not great, not bad. This was my first visit, got everything to-go. I would have preferred the fried yucca and tostones be packaged separately to maintain their crispness, but they were packaged in the same container with the stewed chicken AND under a large amount of wet onions, so they were soggy, which sort of ruins the whole idea of a fried item. In any case, the tostones still had a nice flavor. The portion size of the chicken was great but tasted a little bland. Overall, wasn’t blown away, but didn’t hate it.

What an experience!!! Absolutely amazing spot that I can’t believe we hadn’t been to. The yucca? Crisp with a smooth inside. The plantains? Sweet and melt in your mouth. The Cubano sandwich? I’d do things that I’d have my review banned if I typed here to have another. We’ll be back and you should too.

Went there yesterday with my family with high hopes as this place has really good reviews. Being Cuban, I was excited there was a local restaurant where we could enjoy the classic dishes we love.

Sadly we were quite disappointed. The only positives here are that the staff were friendly and the space had a nice ambiance/decor. But the food was very disappointing. I Ordered ropa vieja, a Cuban classic. It was super salty, oddly flavored and the beef was not even shredded which is what makes the dish unique. My plate was the last to come out because they ran out of white rice (was told l'd have to wait for it to be cooked and so l chose arroz con gandules) and when they brought out my food my black beans were cold and tasted so heavily seasoned with cumin I couldn't eat them. To make matters worse, I'm pretty sure all the beans (including my husband's, he ordered red beans) were canned. Even the gandules had a weird taste almost spicy. Cuban food is not spicy at all. It was strange that they offer arroz con gandules but no black rice (Moro-another Cuban classic) on the menu.
Gandules typically are more Puerto Rican.

Maybe it could get better with a different cook and training but I won't be returning.

This place takes me back to when I lived in Pinar Del Rio. I ordered ropa vieja and I got picadillo for the wife. The ordered was delivered and the plates were just like when I lived in Cuba. A large portion of beans a portion of rice and a very very small portion of meat. Just like Cuba. Dissapointing.
